@jmolenaar I’m following this forum for the same reasons as you. Since I don’t yet own the watch, I can’t really reply to the issues you raise, except for issue 4, about which I received this reply from a watch owner: https://forum.suunto.com/post/177976. You may find it interesting.
As for mid-exercise crashes, my Garmin Fenix 7 has crashed quite a few times mid-run, especially while navigating turn-by-turn on a route. It wouldn’t surprise me if these crashes aren’t exclusive to Garmins.

@jmolenaar for sure those are occasionally. I have bought V2 that day when they launch it and I don’t have any issues with it, and believe me I’m not the luckiest person in the world.

Btw I think that Suunto will improve their software and eliminate problems one by one so it’s only matter of time. I don’t hear any problems with V1 now

        Kind regards,
        Tomek

@jmolenaar Also no issues with V2. Battery life is better than I expected.

          Come from the V1.

          V2 still has a few things I don’t like.

Alarm, you can’t choose individual days.
Weather forecast is too short, only 8 hours and wind is in m/s

          But these aren’t bugs.

@Audaxjoe And you can’t split metric/imperial for temperature and distance.

Thanks a lot all! That helped.

I will keep track of this forum to see if the major battery drain issues will be solved soon and then i will purchased the Vertical 2.

              👍🏻

The issue with battery drain isn’t universal. If people have an issue they are more likely to post.

My experience is the battery is better than expected. I’m getting around 9 days, approx 12 hours GPS a week and 4 hours indoors.

AOD and notifications. No 24 hour HR or sleep tracking.

I used to get around 2 weeks with the V1 between charging with similar activities.

Hi everyone, I just received my Vertical 2 today and have a couple questions.

I am using Always on Display on low brightness. Is it normal that when I touch the screen it won’t fully wake up to the watch face? Currently, the only way to do so is by gesture or pressing a button.

Also, is it normal to go from 100% battery to 96% in around 2.5 hours?

                  Thanks in advance

Can’t speak to the V2, @Doodoo-Runner, but on original Race, most recent software has drastically reduced battery life. (Actually came here to ask questions and see what others’ experiences have been like.)

                      Yes, both normal

AOD display does not wake up on touch only. Raising wrist or button is necessary.
Battery consumption can be misleading for the first charging cycles. Better check again after discharge (down to 10-20%) and full charge.

                      Enjoy your watch!

@Egika hello, l’a new in your forum and I’m french So I’m bad in english. Sorry.

                        I just got a Vertical 2.

I have a few questions, please.

                        1. Is it possible to change the wind speed measurement from m/s to km/h?

                        2. Is it possible to adjust the barometer’s atmospheric pressure to correct the value?

                        3. Is it possible to display more than two measurement values on the watch faces?

                        4. Is it possible to specify the location in the weather widget, as currently it shows the region where the weather varies significantly from one area to the other?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

                        Steff

                          Hi Steff,

Do not worry about your English, it’s fine!

I can only help you with the third question.

                          • Go to the app
                          • Click on the watch icon in the left upper corner
                          • Go to SuuntoPlus store and search for watch faces

You can download up to (I think) 9 watch faces. Some has more space for adjustable information than others.

                          • Use your watch
                          • Go to Settings
                          • Go to Customize
                          • Scroll down to Complications
                          • From here you can follow on what to do

                          Good luck!

I think 1. is not possible 2 isn’t either. While it seems on spot in my case. I think 4 is not possible since it uses your location and uses it for their app.
