Connect Pace watch with Polar Versity Sense

Just got the watch from a sale and am very excited about it.
I usually train with a Polar Versity Sense for better HR accuracy because I have a very skinny forearm. When I go to the connectivity tab and choose Connect Heart Rate Sensor, there is a successful response. But how do I know if it is indeed connected to the heart rate belt?
Is there any way to check the name of the connected device? Or should I just trust the watch? Another question is, is the sensor connected to the watch automatically every time, or do I need to do it manually?
