VO2max in 9 Peak Pro

@gdimos as a 9PP user, I get VO2 max for every run, so must be something in your use case particularly?

Same here!

@Matúš My long-term vertical does not work anymore.

@safari, what do you mean?

I’ve tried through walking and running modes in my watch and still I’m not getting any VO2max results.
Have you set the HR data, as well as the HR zones? Have you pushed enough during your runs, i.e., Z4-Z5?

@Matúš The app says the last VO2max measurement was taken on May 12, 2024. Even though I did the same workouts and used the HR belt, no values for the period after that are listed in the tables.

Pls. believe me, my Suunto 9 Peak Pro widget shows no data since 27 July 2025… and I never had VO2max data before. But during this time period (27 July until now) I had a lot of walking and running activities using GPS, like 8 hours wakling, 11:17 hours walking, 20 min running with heart rates even at 180bps. So, I don’t bite that something is not correctly adjusted by myself. Or, if this is so, why I don’t get any such instruction for having this properly working? I’ve also asked ChatGPT for finding a solution. In my previous “Garmin life”, everything was working so smooth without any intervention by me so having smartwatch properly working.
Guys, I’ve switched to Suunto for battery longevity and I’m facing a lot of issues, bugs etc. Pls. don’t make me go back to Garmin…
Thnx -
@gdimos from memory (this may have changed) you needed at least three runs, which had at least 20 mins minimum of good quality HR data each in order to generate a VO2 Max. Not possible by walking/hiking alone. It may be a daft question, but have you had three of those?
-
@The_77 Thank you!
No, I hadn’t three runs at least 20 mins minimum and I’m pretty very much sure that this is not the case. There is not mentioned anywhere such a minimum of three runs at least 20 mins neither in Suunto or to any other competitive such product. Most likely, it’s another s/w bug of Suunto.
Anyway, I would like to thank all of the members in this forum for responding to my questions during the last 12 months - it was really a nice experience.
But I’ve been tired questioning/challenging Suunto for the obvious (basic s/w quality assurance), so I’m going out from the forum and I’m looking for my next smartwatch.
Thank you All

@gdimos it has changed to at least 15 minutes (I would assume of good quality data). If it doesn’t show in the watch widget called progress that information I would be surprised?
