Any plan on supporting archery training ?
-
Hi,
I was wondering if there is any plan or discussion to support archery on suunto 9 watches ?
I’m no expert at all in movement detection but it feels like the shooting a bow should produce quite a distinctive movement on the watch that could be used to track the number of arrows shot, duration of training, number of volleys etc…I would love to see and use a feature like that !

@nicauj Should be possible. If I recall correctly the Traverse had “Shot detection”
edit:
Yes, it does have it. With a lot of caveats apparently so maybe it’s hard to implement.

It would be great! There are a lot of people who practicing 3D (real-looking animal targets)/field archery shooting or bow hunting. Or, like me, practicing with a bow in a shooting gallery. So, definitely would be useful.

Great, now that we have more than one vote, how can we make sure the devs at suunto can read this ?

@nicauj I’m pretty sure it does reach the devs of Suunto.
If and when it will get implemented in the watches is another question. -
@Eugene-Benkovskiy
and we have Run Archery (running + archery) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Run_archery
