Suunto Race crash in mid activity - again. When is this going to end?
-
There is literally norhing worse for any sports watch than allowing crashes in the middle of recording important activities like races and long rides.
Bur yesterday, it happened again with my Suunto Race while riding a long bike ride.
After 3 hours and 44 minutes, with no interaction at all, suddenly it restarted. I saw the Suunto logo and new - that was it.
Suunto. I know things can go wrong. But if this happens, we all know there are bugs and conceptional problems in the current firmware.
The product is broken as it is.
My Suunto logs are sent. Please investigate.

@Olaf-Gottschalk Mine also did this a few days ago. First time this has happened to me, with over 7 months and nearly 100 activities recorded. Maybe related to the latest firmware?

@MRC01 crashes like this are always related to firmware bugs. It happened to me with older versions, too.
The biggest complaint I have to Suunto is that the watch restarts, but does not resume the recording automatically - like Garmin does. IF and only if you notice, which is not guaranteed, and then start a new recording, you end up with two sessions and a gap. Which is stupid and makes me angry.
I do not use a sports watch to record my exercises only to always fear it crashes.

@Olaf-Gottschalk so crazy… Suunto should hear what their users say… If Not Suunto will definitly lost so much users to other concern! Thats promise!

I had the same problem with Race, but luckily not during activity, but randomly during the day. I returned them for repair and then sold them. I’ve had the Vertical for a few months and no problem so far.
