Sleep tracking
-
@Clément-Lavabre I’ve performed a soft reset too and now sleep tracking works perfectly again
-
@peegee me too, sleep trackin is very inaccurate
-
@Clément-Lavabre soft or hard restart?
-
From Sunday to Monday, for the first time it missed sleep tracking. Later on that day I realized when I was going for a run that HR didn’t measure so I rebooted the watch and HR started working again. Sleep tracking worked as usual from Monday to Tuesday. Seems realted to if HR stops then sleep tracking will stop too. HR during runs are more important to me than sleep tracking. Luckily a reboot sorted it out. As this seems to happen at random, hopefully next update will adress this as I didn’t experience this on the firmware prior to this. Super grateful for the developers, fingers crossed

@SergioB Mine failed again last night. Didn’t detect that I slept at all. That is the second failure in the past week. Over the prior 6 months it never failed. Definitely a bug in the new firmware.

I had done a soft reset
No sleep tracking again last night, reverted to old firmware while waiting for a fix -
Unfortunately I have to do a comment again. Yesterday the sleep tracking didnt work at all. In the morning, I noticed that the OHR was off, no green lights. But in the app the heart rate was measured the whole night, it must stopped right before I woke up.
This night the sleep tracking worked, but stopped at 5am and added a nap until 7am. I wasnt consciously awake at 5am.
Hope our feedback will help to fix the problems.I didnt buy the watch for its wellness functions, not at all. But to have obviously wrong data, isnt great. As I said before, it does not have to be as good as Whoop or Apple Watch, because it serves different target groups.
Hope Suunto can fix this soon.

Today my Race failed to detect sleep for the first time after the update. The only thing I changed was switching from “always on display” to “raise to wake + display only”. Probably coincidence and not causality. But with software one never knows.

Hi guys. My experience with previous software was satisfactory, it worked daily. I’m afraid that with the new software sleep tracking and HRV reading will be affected and therefore our recovery from training work will be affected.
In my case, what I have modified that “could be causing or affecting” the night monitoring of BLOOD SATURATION which I deactivated due to its annoying night light. Also with the issue of configuring “DO NOT DISTURB” the fact of being activated or NOT in a time zone seems to me to affect the readings or morning summary.
I will try a software rollback to the previous one since I did not suffer from such failures -
I think the problem is caused by the settings below:
- Alarm clock setting
- Screen setting display only and full wake mode
If there is a change, no heart rate measurement & sleep tracking will be performed.
The solution is to turn off and on the watch again. -
Because of the problems, I also switched to the old software. But because the improvements to the GPS were more important to me, I switched back to the new software. I’ve been back on the latest firmware for a week now and miraculously everything works as it should ️

Hi,
I have the latest update of the Suunto Race software: 2.39.20, hardware 0827C1.
The reading from the O2 sensors are abnormal.I try to stay as still as possible during measurements. Compared with a fingertip puls oximeter shows values lower with 8-10 points. Also during the first 3 night of sleep my HRV at 44 years is 37 ms. Acording to oficial statistics i should have 66 years at least.
Any suggestions?
