9PP requiring daily manual sync on iphone 15 pro max

Hello!
I just migrated from Samsung to Iphone 15 pro max. The watch have been notifying me for manual sync every afternoon. I just need to launch Suunto on the phone and sync initiates automatically.
This is something that I never had to do with Samsung.Under iphone setting I have everything enabled, especially background app refresh. Location is set to “while using the app”.
Please let me know if there is something I am missing.
