Is there a way to transfer HRV data from Apple Health to SA?

My use case is I have an Oura ring that I’d rather wear than Suunto Race at night :).

And related to this there is of course the question of does SA use HRV data to determine recovery? Or are there other data that should be also imported to SA.

@JukkaK78 Not that I am aware of. RunGap will send activity data back to SA but HRV is not included. And data sent back to SA only stays in the SA - it does not create a log entry on the watch.

@JukkaK78 I would love to see this too. If SA could read more health data from iOS you could use something like a ring or withings sleep analyzer for your sleep data without the need for wearing a watch at night.

maybe we should also remember that SA is “Suunto app”. 🙂
Is Suunto interested into gathering outside group data for something it is already generating for itself ?

@Mff73 well, I get what you mean, but Suunto is not offering any of those products. It would make buying a Suunto watch more attractive if you could see and use your Oura / Withings / Ultrahuman etc. sleep and HRV data in it IMO. If Suunto would deny using those features without a suitable Suunto device paired (e.g. HRV would only be visible when a Race, a Vertical or a 9PP would be paired), Suunto won’t loose any profit.

I think it’s not the most important feature though 😅 more like something “nice to have”
