Navigation stucked in auto-zoom 20km
-
Hi,
I’ve updated my Suunto Race to the latest Firmware 2.35.34 and since then I have a Big issue with the navigation.
Yesterday, I went for a 70km ride. I synced the route to the Watch and used it for navigation.
From the start of the activity until the end, I was stucked in the 20km zoom view. Everytime I was trying to zoom in, it was getting back to the 20km zoom a few moments later.
I tried to deactivate the « re-center map after… » option but it had no effect.
Is it a bug or did I missed something in the settings?
Also, but it’s just a gut feeling, the latest update seems to have also some issues with detecting when you’re off/on the route… like in the first versions of the firmware, it constantly says that I’m off the route… then, just after I hit the wheel to dismiss the alert, that I’m on the route.
thanks for the help!

@Pilok I have not seen this with the production firmware. I would reboot the watch and if a problem still occurs delete and reload the map. I have no problems going off route when on route.

@Pilok
Hi,
I am using a Suunto Race also and the installed SW version is 2.37.34 and I had this issue on a ride this week too.
This was quite annoying since I wasn’t familiar with the track I did, so I depended on a working navigation. Since I was off-road in the woods on single trails I relied on a working navigation feature. But the map zoomed out to 20km and I had to zoom-in again to find the right way.
Did rebooting the watch really solved the issue?
BTW I planned the route with Komoot and synced it to my watch. No idea if this was the reason for this behavior?
regards
Roland
