Suunto Core Alpha watch face? With A, B and C complications?
-
Ambit 3 Peak watch face…

@isazi Should we also tell our friends that they will be able again to cycle through the complications by tapping on the screen like it used to be? (not that I miss that personally, but it was rather frequently raised after the last update)
I miss this feature and would like to have it back.
For example, I often switched between the date an actual altitude complication.
Now, I have to decide for one.
If I‘m at work, I would like to have the date, on weekends I would like to have the alti!
Why should I constantly change the complication field in the settings??
Very annoying and a step back!
I rather can do without downloadable watch faces than without switchable complications. But, I guess no suunto developer will notice this feedback…

@morm1 just reorder your widgets and put altitude as first one, and in only one click you can check altitude, faster than clicking on the complication n times.
-
@morm1 Miss that too but now with the long tap you get to the detail screen so I guess it might be a bit difficult to implement. Maybe short tap = circle and long tap = details.
I used the Outdoors watch face before, cause it showed me everything on a glance or tap.
No I switched to the Modern Analog, because it at least has four complications but still miss some space to show the dualtime too.!
I am sure there will be other great improvements in the future helping with that too.

@isazi I’m not sure that many people know that widgets can be rearranged.

I did not!! that is very good!!
-
@Luis-Andés-Olmedo from the Suunto App you can rearrange widgets, enable, disable them. And there is also the pinned widget always accessible with the middle button/crown press.

Thanks! I knew all the functions except rearranging. I just tried and it is great!

@morm1 I agree. We should be able to cycle through complications. I have heard that users complained about cycling/stacked complications, so Suunto took them away. Also, what happened to being able to have a compass and sunrise/sunset complication? That was a great feature of the outdoor watch face. Cycling and grouped complications should be an option. If you want them you can have them, if you don’t then you don’t have to enable/set them up. Why can’t Suunto make that an option?
-
I heard that widgets can no longer be swapped becouse mistake clicks (like when taking shower with watch. ??? Just take it off for these few minutes). But since we have option to lock buttons, i see no point in that. I miss this option so much…
-
@isazi I know how to reorder widgets, but in this use case I don‘t want to enter the widgets.
I want to take a quick look onto the watch face. And I want to be able to quickly change the complications, as I need it right now.
Easy access, not more not less.
I don’t want to play around, change the settings or need to swipe down.
This was the advantage of rotatable complications, really nice! -
@Ecki-D OK? If I tab onto the screen (9 peak pro) nothing happens. Regardless how long. How do you manage it to get to the details screen by tabbing it?
-
@TitaniumDave Yea … rotating through all complications would be fine.
-
@Tami999 If they really removed this feature because of some complaints about accidental rotations, this would be an „interesting“ way to handle such issues… I would implement the ability to activate or deactivate rotatable complications to address this, rather than removing the complete feature.
-
@morm1 I tap like 3 times and hold a moment. It sometimes work good, sometimes not. Suunto Vertical.
-
@Tami999 This seems to be a vertical only feature. At least, it is not working on 9 peak pro in the current version.
-
@morm1 it does for me - press and hold on the complication when the screen is first awake, after a couple of seconds it recognises and goes to the relevant widget.
-
@The_77 it’s very hit&miss for me but it does also work on the Race S. The smaller complications are particularly tricky to get to work. I found if I press a bit harder - I assume that results in a large touch surface trigger and less moving around of my finger on the screen - it works about 70% of the times I try with the smaller complications.
