S9P OHR monitor stopped working after updating to firmware 2.26.8
-
Hi guys,
Here’s the story:
I have an S9P that I updated in August 2023 to the latest firmware 2.26.8. A month later, the OHR monitor stopped working. I contacted Suunto support about this issue, and they advised me to do a hard reset. That didn’t help, and they suggested sending it to their service center for a paid repair. This option didn’t suit me, so I forgot about my heart rate monitor, haha.Recently, I got the idea to roll back to the old firmware and check the heart rate monitor. I found the only firmware 2.19.42 on the forum! Here you can get the file: “https://firmware.geo.movescount.com/production/Nagano-fw_2.19.42.1044-K-99dda952.sof”
So, I installed it. And it worked! Ta-da!
The heart rate monitor turned out to be very much alive, and it’s not a hardware issue.Next, I reinstalled the latest firmware again. I even found the file:
And again, on this firmware, the heart rate monitor doesn’t work, it blinks 3 times first and then goes off. It’s clear that they won’t be update the firmware for S9P anymore, they have plenty of issues with their new watches (just kidding!).
I requested the firmware file 2.23.20 from Suunto support.
They said they wouldn’t give me the file and again advised me to contact the service center. Unfortunately, they seem somewhat unfriendly, in my opinion.Sorry for the long story,
but does anyone have the firmware file
“Nagano-fw_2.23.20.–*****.sof” or just full name of file?
