FusedTrack works great - for 16 Minutes or 2,5km
-
@Mff73 1s fix for Endurance is available since 9PP. 9P should have FusedTrack as the original S9.
-
@VoiGAS
@Łukasz-Szmigiel
OK, my bad. -
@isazi Tried again in Endurance Mode, same behaviour: Only straight lines, no FusedTrack effect. I compared it to online reviews, there it is not perfect - but its doing something.
Could it be a defect? Compass works, at least in standalone mode -
@VoiGAS did you register a normal run with Performance mode before? So that the watch got calibrated for your moves?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel Yes, a lot. Really strange
-
@VoiGAS and this is running right, not cycling?
-
@isazi Yes, and I just counted the “jumps” in the track - it is just one position marker per minute, nothing in between
I read the watch should request a compass calibration when Endurance mode is chosen. I never had a message like this -
@VoiGAS did you already try to reboot your watch?
-
@isazi No, I will try that
-
As far as I’m aware - this should always work for running activities in Endurance and Ultra if the watch has calibrated wrist movement to GPS, which typically takes one 15+ minutes run in Performance mode.
@isazi, will such data get refreshed with only a soft-reset?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel I would say that a reboot is the first step, then maybe a factory reset could be necessary. Hopefully not.
-
@isazi ok, so Soft Reset + AGPS Sync (then wait 15 Minutes) + 15 Minutes Performance Run to calibrate + Compass Calibration + Endurance Run is the way to go . This will be one of my most intense training weeks
-
@VoiGAS remember to sync the watch after soft reset and then wait 15 minutes in order for the watch to unpack the AGPS data.
-
Soft Reset & Performance Run done, next Test on friday for FusedTrack. Funfact: Ray tested FusedTrack in a 10 Minute Run. Guess what - it worked great

@VoiGAS honestly not sure if the watch was doing 15 minutes of performance when in endurance mode at that time (2018, the time S9/S9B were introduced). As you can see from the track, the watch was not in performance mode.
-
@isazi How can you see it was not it performance mode? Is this maybe something I can analyze for my own runs? I just tried it with the GPX (Workout) Export and like expected it is showing 1-3 second intervalls for the first 17 (strange, really 17 and not 15) minutes and afterwards just one position entry per minute
Edit I mean the old, faulty one. After the reset I still have to try
-
@VoiGAS because the track would be much better if it was in performance mode.
-
Soft Reset did not work, same 1 Minute Jumps like before ️. Worst thing is that it completly cuts the last meters that way. If it would just sync GPS at the end.
Next station Hard Reset, I hope it helps -
Update after Hard Reset: At the end of the Calibration (Performance Mode) Run the watch showed a message “Laufen kalibriert” (running calibrated). This message didn’t show up after the soft reset, so I keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow…
-
@isazi @Łukasz-Szmigiel Unfortunatly it didn’t work. I also noticed that the pace was way off, it showed 7:00 to 11:00min/km during the run. So also FusedSpeed doesn’t work. Thats really a bummer as the Fused Algorithms are Suuntos USP and I really like to use them.
I guess the accelerometer is defective - hopefully Suunto can repair it ️
