Turn off is a hidden feature

Turning the watch off shouldn’t be a hidden feature.
It’s really annoying to have to navigate through several menus and look for the last option in order to perform a common operation like switching of a device. Could you please move it on top of the first menu?
Seems like Suunto wants to force users to have it on all the time. This is not my case, I only turn on my “watch” for my activities and turn it off after downloading data.
Another minus of the Race is that it doesn’t have an internal clock. Every time I turn on the watch again, I have to go outdoors to get the correct time (from gps signal). What about that? A “watch” that doesn’t know the current time

@galerna this is by design, not to force you to use the watch. Just store the watch in the drawer, switched on. It’ll consume very little power when not active.
Syncing with Suunto App should also synchronize time.
Keep in mind that turning the watch off / on will clear the AGPS cache, which makes the GPS cold start unless synced with Suunto App (and waiting approx. 15 minutes).

@galerna I think you are using your Suunto Race like a standalone GPS device etc.
While the developers designed it as a watch. You would not turn off your watch (or your phone) would you? They are both designed to be always on.Probably 99.9% of the users are using their Race always on (the only way to make use of the fitness/sleep tracking features). And thus the reason why switching it off is a little hidden.
Btw. I don’t think it is hidden that much. I need a long press, a short press, turn the wheel and press “power off”. A matter of 4 seconds

@galerna Funny, I’ve never thought of it as a “watch”. For me, it is a wrist based fitness computer that happens to tell the time when it isn’t doing it’s job. I honestly don’t care about that particular feature. I have clocks around me everywhere I got, why do I need one on my wrist?

@Łukasz-Szmigiel Synching with Suunto app will only synchronize the time if you have the watch set to do that. Otherwise it uses GPS time.
