@MrFreeze how strong is mount?
-
I Think with Suunto Race it is almost stronger in place than Garmin in it. But not in a bad way. It just works It is impossible to come off I think. I have watch strap lugs in place, I think that it is harder to come off when they are in place. Garmin mount works just as well as Fenix watch in it. I am proud that I discovered this to community

@MrFreeze Hi, which size did you use?
-
@Durri maybe you can print this?
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/suunto-mount-bike@isazi when will a formal Suunto mount be available? Not the bar thingy but one for OTF?
-
@HoBart maybe this would work idk.

@Durri maybe this would work in a 22?

@ppresing always on doesnât work for you? Have you tried changing to always on?
-
@i5boi I tried General/Display/Always On yesterday, and it didnât make any difference. I still couldnât read the map most of the time while descending winding roads, which could have been useful!
-
@ketsipor ok. Just tried maps and now I see. I donât ever use maps as I know where Iâm going most of the time. If maps are needed I guess they will fix or wonât on purpose to force us to buy a Karoo 3.
-
@HoBart After the Update to 2.33.12 the behavior of the Suunto Race is even worse. Was on the mountainbike yesterday and the Display turned black after a few seconds. Even the maps screen turned black After a few seconds. I always had to click the crown to wake up the display but then it always flipped to the next screen.
Donât understand this behavior in cycling mode. The watch should at least stay dimmed so that you are able to read a little bit. Turning black shouldnât be an option in the cycling or mountainbiking profile. -
@HoBart i have same problem with brightness during cycling! I switched to amoled for better readability but iƄs the exact opposite. Thumbs down for amoled and suunto settings.

@Petr-HudeÄek
@HoBart
it works well when wearing the watch on the wrist.
I wouldnât put my watch on the handlebar when mountain biking, but for road cycling.
it is a known topic and the same for everyone. letâs see -
@Petr-HudeÄek if I donât use navigation, mine works just fine (on the bars).
-
@freeheeler But I would like to see my current speed, heartrate, elevation and all the other data just with a glance. And I definately doesnât want to take my hand of the handlebar.
-
@HoBart
âŠwhen cycling, right? fully on your side. the watch should show the screen and data when on the handlebar while cycling.
with mtb: plenty of time to look at the watch on the wrist uphills, definitely other priorities on the way down -
@freeheeler i had a run today and it was really sunny, finally. Anyhow what bothered me was that the raise to wake did not work at all. The watch was always in dim state and it was totally impossible to see anything on the screen. The only way to wake it up was to touch the crown which made it jump to the next screen. Which was really frustrating since I was following a training plan. So what is the expected behaviour regarding the race and running?
-
@helgonet12
it dims to save battery, but of course at wrist raise the screen should become brighter instantly.
what setup did you use?
the setup with my Race is AOD toggled on and brightness high -
@freeheeler I had AOD and brightness low.
-
@helgonet12
brightness low on a sunny day could be the reason for this issue.
please try with at least medium or high and double check the behaviour again. -
@freeheeler no I donât think so. Because the watch was in the dim state all the time and the only time it got brighter was when touching the crown like I wrote before. The raise to wake doesnât work. Nothing happens. It should go from dim state to brighter when raising my arm should it?
