Multisport

@carrillomex yes, I also hope triathlon will get some love from Suunto…
Right now indeed you change manually with a long upper button press from swimming to T1, with a short press then to bike, long again to T2, short to run.
No automatic there.
But also no individual multisports pre-defined and no individual data fields in triathlonThe current multisport implementation can be used - the sport modes for selection appear in the order of their last use. So this way you can make sure you don’t have to search for them too long…
-
@Egika I didn’t know you could do that with the long and short press button, at least you can do it that way. Thanks for the info. Is that in the manual? I read it and didn’t find that information. (sorry if my english is not as well as it shoud ).
-
@carrillomex Yes see themanual :
-
@Arnaud-LECLÈRE this is the description of free multisport selection.
The pre-defined triathlon mode is not covered here.
-
@Egika OK, you’re right, I understand your problem better.
And if you add in the fact that you don’t just have 3 sports, but 3 sports and 2 transitions… you’d have to be one hell of a “press & hold the upper button” champion not to waste any time! -
@Arnaud-Lclr Yes that’s a mess. But there’s no documentation explaining how to change from swimming to T1 and so on when you select triathlon. But thanks to Erica I know how and I’m happy with that for now.

@Egika said in Multisport:

Which is disappointing (still) after this feature debuted in the 9 Baro—or that’s where I first noticed it. Hopefully, Suunto can allow better customized multisport settings before duathlon season kicks off in my neck of the world later this year.

@carrillomex check this out. You might be happier soon! https://saketonemo.it/talking-about-suunto-with-suunto/

@Jeffrey-Tillack Hope to see some new things soon.

I would like to add some observations/ possible bugs that I’ve noticed in Multisport.
I usually do indoor rowing -> jump rope -> indoor cycling. After ending the rowing and cycling workout I can edit/add the distance on the watch directly or in the app. With Multisport this is unfortunately not possible.
For the case above:- a distance for the rowing was estimated by the watch and is not editable
- no distance was determined for the indoor cycling and it can also not be edited (like when not using Multisport)
- For the Multisport summary the estimated distance of the rowing exercise is used and editable.
Takeaway:
- It would be nice if the individual exercise listed in a Multisport workout could be edited
- When switching from e.g. indoor cycling to another exercise, it would be nice to be promoted to add the distance, like you would when not using Multisport.
