VO2max don't change
-
Hello,
Since the last update, my VO2Max don’t change…
I’m a runner: I have some week with hard training and other without…Before the upgrade, the VO2max used to change and seemed to me to be quite correct
Thanks for help !

@Bouli Hello, it’s interesting I see the same with my S9B. Few years I always saw any little changing VO2 value depend on my actual training or healthy. It was very accurate with measuring in labour. But last few month it was still the same value without changing. I don’t know, what’s happened. Before three weeks I made factory reset (I had any issue with logbook) and becose of this old value of VO2 was deleted and new value till today wasn’t estimate. I made about 8 runs in duration about 1 - 2 hours in different zones - slower long run, interval running, about 40 minutes in zone 3,… Always with Suunto HR belt, mostly in flat terrain. GPS looked good (and I am using Stryd as footpod). Maybe it’s need more running, it’s not so much important for me, so I am only waiting if it will be in future estimate again.

@mcindr Very interesting ! what do you loss with hardreset ?
I heart VO2, VFC I suppose other ? -
@Bouli You will lost all settings (personal, zones, complete all), custom sport modes and all data saved in watch (logbook, sleeping data,…). You can wait, I will make more runs and tell you how long time was needed to new estimation of VO2. When I bought this watch before three years, it was estimated after first run. Now it’s need much more runs, I don’t now which all conditions depend it.

@mcindr ok thanks for you reply and for your future reply !

Hello, It´s stiil the same. You can see at picture. I got after every run the same value of fitness level. Than I deleted this value with factory reset. From this time till today I didn´t got any new value of fitness level. Estimation of this stopped working for me before few month. But reason I didn´t found. -

Hello,
The last update has no effect… My VO2max don’t change…
no correction on last update ?
any tips ?
Thanks -
@Bouli no, VO2 is not working since November on my s9pp.

@mikel
haven’t used my S9PP in a while, but checking my wife’s activities VO2max est. is there and also adapting -
@mikel
what sport modes do you use? -
I described here the same with S9B. After every run I got the same VO2max value without any change for few months. I made factory reset and after runned more than 200 km with good GPS quality and HR belt I didn’t get new value of VO2max. My watch only still wrote run min. 15 minutes…
I tried downgrade to 2.23.20. Immediately after that got new VO2max value during first very easy run (only 6km mostly in zone 1). After every next run is this value updated. Now it function very well again. All conditions are the same as before. I am running the same tracks, the same HR belt, using custom running mode as before.

what sport modes do you use?
Running and Mountainbiking -
@mikel It is not possible evaluation of VO2max during mountain biking.
-
@mikel how long are your running workouts? How is your avg HR during your runs?
-
@mikel
looks like we’re getting closer to the root cause.
as @mcindr said, mtb doesn’t estimate VO2max and what @Łukasz-Szmigiel is pointing to: running isn’t equal to running.
VO2max requires a variation of HR and at best thru all zones and at least 15mins -
@Łukasz-Szmigiel said in VO2max don't change:

between 7 and 10 km (40 min to 1h) 2 times per week. Avg HR 150 to 160 bpm.
And yes, I know that VO2max is only recorded during running. Why should mountainbiking has an influence on VO2max recording during running? If so, why was it ok until the November update?

How you downgrade the firmware?
S9PP you can downgrade with this firmware:
https://firmware.geo.movescount.com/production/Sapporo-fw_2.22.60.3383-P-56f364c9.sof
On your phone open the firmware with Suunto app and the downgrade should be possible …
-
@pilleus I have downloaded Sapporo to my phone. When I open it with the Suunto App I’m getting an error message: The file is either damaged or the file format is not supported.
Is there something I’m missing?
