I had this issue where heart rate cannot be detected. This usually happen after I stopped wearing the watch continuously. I sent in my watch to suunto and they replaced it. I thought it’s a one off hardware issue. Now with the new watch, this same issue is back again… I have to restart the watch to get the heart rate sensor back… this is funny as i don’t get this issue if i wear the watch continuously, but every now and then when i take it out for a day or so and wear it again, there is a chance that the heart rate sensor does not detect HR…

That was my issue. Now I a have a new watch (Suunto sent the replacement) and it works well

@Luis-Andés-Olmedo Glad they finally replaced your watch. Well I had my replacement for a month or so now, and problem is coming back again. Anyways I will just monitor abit more but if this issue keeps coming back, I will have to send it back again …

What bad luck, I hope it is solved without having to send it back

Hi
My Race HR stops while doing strenuous hikes with a lot of sweating. After I washed my arm and sensor with water it worked again. Thanks
-
@leafs93 I think I have the same issue with the Race. When I turn the watch back on my wrist after a shower, I notice hours later that it did not record heart rate. Soft reset does the trick
I own this watch three weeks and this happens weekly

Same HR not working after inactivity issue (since latest big update). Requires selecting a sport and re-toggling HR sensor back to ON (lifting watch from skin seems to help while temporarily OFF).
I’ve had the watch since April and it’s annoying the software/hardware can’t be trusted to work without a hitch.
-
While soft reset did nothing, factory reset helped. Will post if/when regresses. This seems like a software issue.
I noticed HR was tracked during the nights (as seen in app graphs), but I never got a sleep report. Also, many times I had to wait 1-3 hours for the sleep to be reported after waking up.
-
This aged badly. 25min later putting the watch back on doesn’t start the HR sensor.
Toggling power saving On and back Off brings it back to life.
Software seems trigger happy to power save, yet not recognise when watch is back on… despite using the watch (crown, buttons etc.) and having skin contact.
Can only hope 2.35.34 is followed up with a bug fix in August…
