running estimate
-
@leafs93 after my 10th run or so, finally had my running estimate show up ! And I must say they seem to be quite accurate .
-
-
@leafs93 after another run yesterday, the estimates can no longer be found… is this normal ?
-
My running estimates seem to be pretty accurate I would say, very impressed
-
@gone-troppo do they remain in your watch and gets purged after a while? I finally got the estimates which was very accurate but disappeared again after another run . This is so disappointing.
-
Not sure mate I will keep an eye on It over the next week. So far I’m happy with most of the updates
-
Even if I have run 6 times this is how on watch it looks…
-
My running estimates are show (on Vertical), but how often/when do they change? I ran an all out 5k a couple of days ago and I was faster than my time predicted by watch. After 4days, my 5k estimation is still ‘old’ one. I suspect it should lower to at least my last run or am I wrong?
-
There are other people with this issue of the running estimate/Lactate threshold?
Or is not shown after 3 activities? Should be more? How many? -
@Bogdan1921 49 runs 5 - 15 km
Running VO2 max - yes
Running estimate - no
Lactate threshold - noLoad train this week always missing today’s activity (next day will appear)
-
@Likarnik based on my personal experience for my Vertical, i think running estimate changes/update is not measure by running speed improvement but VO2 Max improvement.
-
hi, i have the same problem. recorded 21 runs in the last 3 weeks. And did 3 Tempo workouts. many long tuns and easy runs. I get the vo2 max. but no lactate threshold and noch running estimate. I asked the suunto support,
here is the answer:
. There is minimum requirements for the fitness level / Vo2max to be calibrated. You need to record walking and running sport modes for at least fifteen minutes with good GPS and Heartrate connection. It is important to stay in Zone 3 of your heartrate zones for at least 8 minutes.
If you lose GPS signal or it is not synced well in the beginning the activity will not count towards calibration. The GPS signal needs to be green and full (not blinking). Kind regards/Ellie, Suunto TeamMaybe i have to try to stay in zone 3 over 8 mins and not get in zone 4 or 5. or record a walking sport mode. but i dont understand why i need walking for running estimate or lactate threshold.

@Sebastian-Wagner-0 I think this feature is currently not working for a lot of people - me included. Waiting for an update or a fix. I’ve run a ton, same as you, and the message on my Race always saying ‘Record at least 3 outdoor runs to get insights’.

Mine appears for a few days, then disappears for a few weeks before it returns. Rinse and repeat.

@David-l Hmmm…well, Ive decided to just sort of ignore that particular data for now until I hear their is a fix. Its middle of winter and cold/rainy here anyhow. Since Im not running/riding a ton yet, this info isnt crucial (yet).

Not running? Mate that’s not good for the soul!
