Issue on calculating space and speed while walking without GPS
-
Hi all,
last Monday I was recording a walk (w/o GPS) after lunch when I realized that speed was suddenly dropping to 1-1.8 km/h while my stride was pretty the same I have when walking (in fact, it took a huge space just to walk 10 meters, this what the counter said).
After a soft reset that sorted no effect, I did the “solid” way and hard-resetted the watch: that seemed to be the workaround, as the speed and space calculated went back to normal.
Btw, on the evening, I also recorded a race and in the end the watch told me that the walking calibration had took place (maybe because the hard reset wiped off the previous one…?).
All worked fine until this afternoon, when the issue popped up again… what should I do? Don’t want to perform the hard reset again.
Maybe I’m getting wrong something.Thanks,

@fabula670 Not a direct answer to your question, but why do you want to disable GPS and still have accurate speed values? Is it an indoor activity?

Yes it is; I’ve been using the Race for two months now and it’s the first time that this issue come up.
Another one a bit off topic is that the first time I recorded a walk (just after bought the watch), calibration went right and also the VO2max popped up, while now, after the reset I did last Monday (and after a 2-3 races recorded) no datum is available yet… well, It’ll show up -
But it’s not a matter of accurate data, mate; it’s the calibration resulting from the GPS that seems to have been lost…
