Suunto Race locked

@zhang965 Sorry I did not understand your point. I had a Suunto 10 years ago and it was really good, only changed it because of the lack of bluetooth. I even sent them some emails for GPS problems in China. Regarding the developer comment I wrote, its not just a problem of Suunto. I had the same issue with Coros. For example, can you believe you cannot see the total swim distance while you stop between intervals? That watch has been out for several years and they didnt fix it. There are always so many open points to be checked… We should start a GPS watch company guys! hahah

@Biterdi I can assure you there is extensive testing with Suunto devices and competitor devices by people that are slow (like me) and fast. Ignore the troll.

We are all slow compared to Kipchoge hahaha

I also miss the ability to truly lock the watch in watch mode. An example is washing the watch after exercise under running water, during which the watch does whatever it wants, changes screens and can also change options. Only “true” blocking as during activity can remedy this. I hope this option will appear in the future.

I support the idea for a lock function for the Race in daily but also pause mode. there are good reasons for it that I have experienced myself recently.
I was always an evangelist for more lock function and honestly am convinced that S9P/P and Vertical do not really require it, but it’s a different situation with the digital crown on the Race.
I’ll support it

@freeheeler not a major issue, but I still vote for a manual locking mechanism in time mode on the SV. Accidental button presses are not my biggest concern, but water is. If the watch becomes unlocked because I press a button or something it is very hard to let the auto locking mechanism do it’s work while there are water drops on the watch or if the watch is submerged. The touchscreen prevents the watch to lock itself.

Its funny for me becasue in 4 days of using the watch I experienced many “accidental settings enterings”. And in the shower, the watch will do just do whatever it wants. Screen must have a locking option, its clear to me.
For any developer here, just check Coros crown unlocking and how it works with different buttons. For example, in the middle of the night, your watch is locked and you go pee. You just press a button, the watch is locked but the screen will change to dim state watch and with this “residual” light, you can see and go to the toilet. No need fully awake or anything. I must say that I didnt try it yet with Suunto…perhaps works the same?

One of the main reasons that I have the flashlight widget pinned

@Biterdi I had the same complaint while talking a a shower so what I did was > settings>general>display>raise to wake off , the watch display will not go crazy while showering, since water will mess with touch screen.
-
@machinedoc7 raise to wake low should accomplish the same, while you would still be able to check the time.
-
@isazi only options we have is off, display only and full wake mode.
-
@machinedoc7 okay, did not keep up with the ever changing nomenclature Then display only is what should work, it only shows time without unlocking the watch.
-
@isazi ok cool thank you for that info.
