Track altitude gain / incline of a treadmill
-
It is great to have the possibility to adjust the distance after a run on the treadmill was made. But what about the altitude gain? Is that somehow possible to change it? Any advise? How are you doing that?

From 2024 on I track the treadmill activities as running. GPS set to off. Then I can manually add the ascent (my treadmill only is able to adjust incline, no decline) and I have the correct total ascent in Suunto App in the summarised activities.
I tried to rename the running activity to treadmill activity, but then the ascent is removed by the Suunto App.
The solution would be that Suunto changes the shown fields in treadmill activity and add the fields ascent and descent.

I donβt know, if on the Race a running activity without enabling GPS is possible. I use the solution on my old school watch β¦ SSU β¦

@pilleus You are adding the ascent and descent in the Suunto app after the run?

Yes. But the activity is tagged and shown as running and not as treadmill training. For me it is not of interest, because running is running.
With the NPE Runn sensor I capture the ascent on a Garmin watch and this value I add manually in the Suunto app.
