Can't sync the exercise log in Suunto App to Suunto Race?
-
Android uses syncmytracks and iOS uses rungap.

Thank you for your detailed comments.
This is the same case as me.
In the end, I have to use the Suunto Race at the same time when I exercise. I understand.I have one question.
How do you connect Suunto Race and your smart trainer? Even if the smart trainer is connected to Zwift, can it be connected to Suunto Race? I am using rouvy and direto xr. -

Can’t sync the exercise log in Suunto App to Suunto Race?
After doing an indoor virtual ride, I synced it to the Suunto app.
However, the virtual riding results are not synchronized to Suunto Race.
Therefore, exercise time, TSS, resources, etc. are not displayed correctly. Is there a way to sync the exercise log in the Suunto App to the Suunto Race?
Or will support be available through a software update in the future?
I think if you record an activity with another device and you sync that to the suunto app and from there to the Suunto watch, you will get tss scores to the watch also, but not training time, log book etc. (Sometimes this needs soft reset to show up, because of the current bug on the watch, also activities recorded with the Race won’t sometimes show up in tss scores before soft reset).
I think its great for Suunto for at least making it possible to get those tss scores from another devices also to the watch. It would be even better if also the log book and training total times would sync, but i can live without those. And I think if you would do similar thing with Garmin watch, you would not be able to get any “training load” data to the watch recorded with other devices. So Suunto has won my heart with this. I think sport watch companies should not be “jealous” of sports recorded with other devices. I understand that e.g. Garmin can sell more their own products because of this. But at least for me its one of the ressons to buy Suunto (have to track some sports with another more suitable device).

@Jinyoung-Lee I believe that I have the exact same use cases as you.
For my outdoor riding, I mainly use my Wahoo cycling computer as the main recording device (which syncs to Strava). I also record the ride in parallel using my Suunto Race so that the activity is automatically added to the Race and also to the Suunto App. So there is no need to manually import the activity to Suunto App.
My indoor riding is done on Zwift (which syncs to Strava). Also in this case I record the ride on the Suunto Race as an Indoor Cycling activity (by connecting the Race to my smart trainer).
So all my outside and inside riding is available on my Suunto Race and also in the Suunto App. And calories, TSS etc are all being properly tracked without any need for manual importing the activities.
I may be misunderstanding your exact needs as the solution seems very simple to me - just record the outdoor and indoor rides on your watch. This is what I do and it works fine at least for me
I dont think these scenarios are that unusual. With team sports for example. If I play football, floorball, hockey or something like that: I cant wear a watch. I could wear chest strap, but its not that comfortable and the range of bluetooth is not enough sometimes (ok, no problem with the suunto smart belt because of the memory of the belt, but still a bit uncomfortable and those have dropped off sometimes). I use polar verity sense sensor for team sports. The sensor has memory, i sync the data from polar to suunto app and from there to the watch. Coros has made lately similar belt worn in your arm, maybe Suunto also next?

I have one question.
How do you connect Suunto Race and your smart trainer? Even if the smart trainer is connected to Zwift, can it be connected to Suunto Race? I am using rouvy and direto XR.I have a Wahoo Kickr smart trainer which supports 3 Bluetooth connections as well as ANT+.
Since the Race does not support ANT+ then it has to connect to the smart trainer using Bluetooth (using the Power Pod option in Suunto Race’s connectivity settings). This will occupy 1 Bluetooth connection on the smart trainer.
To connect the smart trainer to the computer (running Zwift, Rouvy etc), there are then two connection options:
- Bluetooth (if the smart trainer supports more than 1 Bluetooth connection)
- ANT+ (which requires a ANT+ USB dongle connected to your computer)
I happen to use the 2nd option for the computer connection but option 1 also works for me.
The Direto XR only supports 1 Bluetooth connection so you will need to use option two (a ANT+ USB dongle costs around USD15-40).
If you run your cycling app on a mobile device (phone or tablet or Apple TV) then the ANT+ USB dongle solution may not work. (If you use a Samsung phone then it might actually have ANT+ built-in but I have no experience with that).
If you are using Rouvy on a computer (PC or Mac) then option 2 should work for you.

wow!!!
Thank you very much.
I never thought of using the ant+ dongle.
I will try using the method you advised. Thanks again for your advice.

Might be fine for indoor but not for outdoor activities as my elevation gain/loss is typically incorrect.
Import as gpx in Sportstracker does not show any elevation data for me. I have to add it manually in Suunto app. But outside of IOS the only way. QS does not work anymore.

syncmytracks
Does not sync all elevation data. Ascent and descent are missing. The same problem as a sync with Sportstracker.
-
I had the same problem before my Suunto watch would not sync to the Suunto app. However, since the Suunto watch is synchronized with the Suunto app, Ascent and Descent are synchronized.
-
The sync from the Suunto watch to the Suunto app is no problem, all data are available in both.
The import of a fit file or gpx file from another watch (WearOS, Garmin, Huawei) is the problem. Only basic data are transferred and ascent/descent, temperature and elevation profile are missing.
It worked in the past with QS, but stopped some time ago.

What? QS was able to push activities to SA back?
To import activities in SA from outside, the “best” way to do it is using some external partners which enable fit file import (like runalyze). The only flaws I am finding personally are : no specific HR zones (SA will use its default ones) and pauses management (I am having some issues with pauses after reimported activities).
But, main metrics are imported : ascent decent tss etc… -
@pilleus RunGap for iOS works well.
