Software Update 2.30.32

@Francesco-Pagano There has been this issue when the structured workout has been planned for a specific day and you clicked on yes when prompted if you want to use the structured workout while accessing the sport mode. If you clicked on “No” and then chose the structured workout from the menu it worked. But I guess this could be a different issue.

@Francesco-Pagano
Thanks, I’m glad it’s not only me, please keep me updated. -
@Zdeněk-Hruška you are correct. this is the workaround to make this work correctly: Enable guide from activity settings and not from the question if it should be used.
Issue is known at Suunto.

@AnonVerticalOwner
Sleep tracking hasn’t changed for me since the update - it’s still very accurate with my sleep times.
But I also haven’t seen the mismatch in CTL/ATL values between the watch and the app - they match exactly for me.
I wouldn’t try to avoid the update, my watch is working perfectly other than a minor bug with wrist HR on/off in activities (see further up the thread). -

I noticed that they switched buttons when alarm beeps. Upper is now for snooze and lower for stop. Before it was opposite.
Ooof, this has screwed me up all week since the update! I’ll get used to it of course, but this is such an odd decision. I can’t really figure out what would’ve prompted the developers to swap the actions of these two buttons in this use case.
I’ve already “dismissed” my morning alarm instead of snoozing due to muscle memory (and not wanting to look at a bright watch face when I’m trying to sleep just a bit longer), which has resulted in me oversleeping each morning.

You can activate it through “customize” menu
Wait, are you saying that when you customize the widget menu and you use the on/off button next to each widget actually activates/deactivates the corresponding functionality?
I (incorrectly, it seems) thought this “customization” was just a way to customize the number of widgets I had to scroll through on the widgets screen!
Hopefully this explains why my sleep tracking, heart rate, recovery, etc data have all “disappeared.” Ugh.
Really wish the behavior had been actually customizing the list of widgets to scroll through on the watch. I’m not a power user, so didn’t want to have to scroll through so many widgets just to glance a few items now and then.
Glad I stumbled across this, though! Explains a lot of what’s been happening with my data!

@Zdeněk-Hruška thanks, this works for me. Not ideal, but at least I have a workaround now.
Thank you!
-
@Sam-White I think functionality stays, just widget isn’t showing
-
@MKPotts Thank you! That’s good to hear. I’ll pass on the message.
-
@AnonVerticalOwner - Sleep tracking is unusable after the SW update, incorrectly showing 2-3 hrs/night on the PP. I switched back to Garmin until this gets fixed.
-
@TurnberryHai
I have also experienced very ‘delayed’ sleep track since the update. No issues prior to that but now my 7-8 hours night seem delayed by 2-3 hours which results to wrong data. Also the watch used to show a summary of the sleep right after dismissing the alarm, this is not happening ether since the update. Also these shorter recorded night recover my resources way more than prior to the update; my sleep score is also excellent although the overall metrics are far worse. Big difference in the algorithm and definitely not trustworthy imo.
Otherwise the new UI is looking sharp and easier to use! Looking forward to these bug fixes! -
@TurnberryHai Thanks for the heads up! It’s a shame it was rolled it out to the S9PP before addressing it then. I had hoped the algo changes would be excluded from this update.
Fwiw, Suunto’s been monitoring the SV thread, so here’s to hoping a fix is on its way.

They might have it aligned with how you pause (snooze) and end (dismiss) a training (alarm).

My sleep tracking has not been impacted by the latest update I track with my phone (to update apple Health) and the watch for the stats in the app and both match up.

@minimark069
It’s seems very individual given we’re both seeing no change and accurate data and other people are seeing the opposite.
I’m also currently tracking with two devices - an Enduro and the Peak Pro - while I transition from measuring HRV from Garmin to Suunto. My recorded sleep times for the last three nights are:
Enduro 22:09-05:38 & S9PP 22:21-05:38 (it’s the Suunto that’s more accurate in this case)
E22:04-03:59 & S 22:05-03:59
E 22:25-05:48 & S 22:20-05:48I guess accuracy must be affected by the sleep times set in the watch, resting HR and maybe how much you move while sleeping.
I’ve got my RHR set at 40bpm. Depending on fitness and tiredness, this compares to daytime RHR typically 36-40 and nighttime 32-38. -

and the third case, where, peeple like me, has sometime “looks like accurate data” and sometimes the opposite
For my case, i would bet that watch is seeing my sleeping movements as an awake time (i think i am moving quite a lot). -
@MKPotts I tested yesterday S9PP against Huawei Watch Fit:
I would say Huawei feels more accurate here (especially about “Awake” time). Something is wrong with “Awake” on Suunto to me.
Also, to stop sleep tracking with Suunto you have to stand up and make few steps. Huawei seems to be smarter here and doesn’t require you to do that. And that is despite Suunto has more accurate HR sensor and HR data.

Just to update
- I havent been prompted to stand yet ( i do sit for my job but it would not suprise me if i stand up before it i get to the 2 hour limit)
got my first stand notification today

Hi,
I’ve found another bug related to exercise mode.
Touch screen isn’t longer available in navigation screen. I can swipe between screens and do other things with the touch screen but in navigation screen it doesn’t respond. I can’t swipe up to open the navigation meny and most importantly I cannot double tap on the screen to see an overall track.
That’s sad ️

@rooldaa
In performance mode? Did you check custom battery mode settings?
