First crash mid-activity... :(
-
@Olaf-Gottschalk I’d sincerely check if your unit is faulty Olaf. It seems now that you have a variety of issues with your watch that very few are experiencing. Never had a crash during an activity just to say, and I practice almost every day different indoor and outdoor sports.
-
@Olaf-Gottschalk Did you already use the new firmware from today?
-
@lessthanmore the crash happened one day prior to release.
But I encounter other bugs like the step counter freezing right at the start of the day when the unit is immediately plugged to the charger after I woke up. Had this before and today after the update. After a few hours I notice I made 0 or 3 steps (today…)
This is so, so sad.
I really come to the verdict that Finnish programmers suck. Suunto is identical to Polar.

@Olaf-Gottschalk what if I told you they were not Finnish?
Following our chat, this racism is the only thing that is not tolerated in our forums. It’s not about fanboys or haters. There is no sensorship happening here , but please again mind your articulation of emotional content.

You’re right. This is not what I intended. Sorry!
I am very passionate about good software and I get emotional when I see things go wrong. -
@Olaf-Gottschalk I understand man. I do. I have been there
-
@Olaf-Gottschalk Are you still within your warranty period (Money-back guarantee period) ?
Half of the negative comments or bugs on the forum come from you.
You see things that everyone else sees and you also see things that no one else sees. -
@Arnaud-Lclr what are you accusing me of?
The device is buggy. Fact. When I talk to support they even confirm that. So please, leave me alone with your useless comments.
-
@Olaf-Gottschalk I didn’t encounter a single bug and I got the device for a month now, did like 50 activities so far and zero crashes. If you think your unit is faulty just send it to assistance or give it back and buy a watch from another brand, that’s what some of us are trying to suggest.

So what are you waiting for to send it to service instead of ranting on this forum and insulting people?

Just ignore me if you don’t have anything of value to contribute, will you please?

You simply do not look at the watch like I do. If you can’t contribute or have answers, please just ignore me and keep quiet. Easy as that.

My watch crashed once - support says it’s a known bug.
-
My step counter now did not count any steps on three different days and only starts counting after restart of the Race. This is a bug.
-
CTL and TSB showed 0 every morning until first sync - was a bug which is fixed with latest FW upgrade.
-
Pool length is reset to 25m after new start of the unit - this is a major annoyance because you miss it (it is not visible at first glance when starting a swim!) if you don’t know the watch restarted inadvertently or due to FW upgrade or you simply forgot you restarted it. If that happens, your next swim distance will be wrong and there is no way to fix the data afterwards nor is there any way to upload the corrected data to Strava.
-
Emojis should simply be supported in 2023 because many people react with simple emojis and seeing an empty rectangle is annoying.
I do not see in ANY way where I am the “only one” with these issues.
In contrast to you fan boys I am trying to help Suunto fix things to stay ahead.
And no, there simply is no other brand offering a comparable product, so your non-advice is unhelpful.I want the few important issues fixed in the Race, that’s all.
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos please see this as yet another list of things I found where absolutely no discussion is necessary besides Suunto knowing about the issues. Thanks!

I’m closing this one since, as the op said, there is no need to discuss.
