Weather widget

Hi all,
where is the weather widget getting is info from? And does it download the information via WiFi or is a sync with the Suunto App necessary?
Thx

@Matze openweathermap I assume. Suunto app connection updates the data.
-
@Matze It’s working with the app on the phone. Refresh time for the infos is 60 minutes.

Thank you for the helpful responses.

Do you guys know what is the meaning of the 2 different colours in the vertical bar for the temperature?
-
@Pier-Luigi-Cingolani They are just steps which tells you the temperature. I have it now on blue because it’s -3 celsius outside. In Summer it got more yellow and red. It also shows min and max temperature of the forecast.

@Lexlehtor Are we sure about this? Because for me, since yesterday, since I deactivated the wifi network, despite the continuous synchronizations with SA, the widget no longer updated, it only gave the indication to synchronize the clock. Then I tried to reactivate the WiFi… and magically at the first synchronization the widget was restored… I was just about to ask you the problem, then I tried to do this test by reactivating the WiFi… so I’ll propose it again… .

Update…I discovered why!! It doesn’t depend on the WiFi connection, but on the smartphone’s GPS sensor, which I usually keep off. Without GPS sensor, the weather widget is not updated. I thought that in any case the SA would adjust itself at least with the last known position… but it’s fine anyway
