HRV data?
-
@twekkel
if i am not wrong, they are included in the fit files you can export from SuuntoApp.with fitfileviewer.com you can view and export these values to CSV.
Is it what you need ?
-
@Mff73 Hi, how is this HRV data used by Suunto and how is it presented to the user?
-
@ADidier through resources tab on your watch and suunto app.
-
@Mff73 I took a fit file and tried it with fitfileviewer and I can not find HRV in it, just HR.
The ‘sleep quality’ is based on HRV (https://www.suunto.com/en-nl/News/suunto-9-just-got-better--new-software-update-available/) and that is not really an activity.
HRV is highly personal and I’m surprised my watch came up with a sleep quality from day one, without establishing a baseline of what is a normal HRV for me. I would prefer to have the raw data just like HR and do my own interpretation.
I’m not even sure if HRV is recorded outside sleeping… during an activity like running HRV is probably very hard to measure accurately. I don’t know, but the “flyer” isn’t very informative IMHO.
-
only found it now… https://forum.suunto.com/topic/8317/hrv-and-related-metrics-from-pp it is fairly similar to what I’m after.
-
@twekkel
i checked multiple file on my side.
there is HRV values in all activities with HR belt, but not with OHR from S9PP -
-
@twekkel Great, can’t wait to use it now that I’m sure the 9PP will get it!
-
“HRV will be available in Suunto Vertical and Suunto 9 Peak Pro as a software update. Exact date to be confirmed.”
Can’t wait to test this with my S9PP, and hopefully stop measuring HRV first thing when I wake up. -
@Francesco-Pagano How do you measure it currently ? another watch ?
-
@Elipsus I use the EliteHRV Android app with a Garmin chest strap

@Francesco-Pagano said in HRV data?:

I will keep using Kubios in // with the watch until I am sure things are okay for the jump
