      Hey,

A week ago I bought Suunto Vertical, had two runs and what bothers me is the ducking of music playback after audio feedback during my runs (using bluetooth headphones).
      .
How it’s expected to be: start a running activity, music is playing, audio feedback ducks the music (lowers its volume to let me hear the feedback), the app speaks the feedback, the music playback volume is back to normal as it was before the audio feedback.

How it works: start a running activity, music is playing, audio feedback ducks the music, the app speaks the feedback, the music is stuck ducked after the feedback, the volume is not changed to the previous state.

Restarting spotify helps to return playback volume to normal while my run on the watch is active. But after another audio feedback, ducking is stuck again.
I tired using another streaming app (youtube music), I tried other headphones - didn’t help.

I also tried starting a run directly from the suunto app (not from the watch) and there’s no such a glitch with ducking music. The ducking was also working as expected when I was using SportsTracker app (before I purchased Suunto Vertical).

My phone: oneplus 9 pro, android 13
my watch: suunto vertical (not the solar version), software version 2.25.66
headphones I used: JBL live flex, Huawei FreeBuds 4

Has anyone faced anything like this? Are there any ways to fix this behaviour? I researched this forum, reddit, google - didn’t find an answer (just a suggestion on reddit to post it here 🙂 ).

      Thanks.

@phantom_did this has happened to me in the past, but it’s not reproducing all the time, I use the aeroplex headphones and the only workaround I’ve found is to restart my phone and it gets back to normal.

Not sure where the issue is at, but the triggering point is the start of the voice feedback in the workout.

@Egika force stop the the app helps. I had it a couple of times but the team could not find the reason.

I think it’s not app related but OS library related . The same happens on iOS and android on my car when activating google maps for instance without Suunto app active … so I tend to believe it’s heavily related to mobile OS Bluetooth drivers rather than just the app

@herlas well, shame on me but I didn’t start with trying to restart my phone - this helped, audio ducking works correctly now. Thanks, will see how it works on my future runs.

@thanasis this never happened to me before. I’m using music+maps (google maps, waze) on my phone (android) while driving for several years and ducking has been working correctly.

@thanasis Yeah that can be correct. I had it with all other things but it always seems bound to the app.

For example at some point the audio quality of my bluetooth headphones was like very low sampling. I could not cure that till I force stopped slack. Somehow slack thought I was still in a call.

Idk just brainstorming here and maybe it helps.
