Suunto 9 peak pro now with continuous HRM ?

Hello,
I noticed since the last update on my 9PP that the HR sensor is now always “on”.
I only have the watch since less than 3 month, but I recall watching some reviews, and seeing for myself that the sensor takes measurement every few minutes or so, and since the last update it seems that everytime the sensor is “in contact” the LEDs turns on ?
I checked the changelog and it’s not mentioned but I just wanted to ask if it was from last update or just my brain playing with me ? -
