S9PP Not registering distance in Pool Swims

Bit of a Bizarre one here.
regular pool swimmer but randomly whilst the watch shows my distance when swimming no problem, in random poll swim exercises the total swim distance doesn’t come through on the app after i complete . The pace and everything else is there and when the data feeds through to my linked Strava account, Strava shows the distance swam!!.

The logbook on the watch shows time, calories pace etc but not distance!!, Obviously as the pace is accurate the distance is in there somewhere. I have tried resetting the watch completely but to no avail. When I edit the activity the distance field shows 0.0 which I can edit using the Strava distance or my memory!. Openwater swimming doesnt appear to be a problem

@isazi this looks like the Android app. For me on iOS with S9PP everything is fine.
If the data is there in watch and in activity synced, then it could be an app issue.

Distance is shown on IOs app so maybe there’s something missing in the activity data ?

Is this the default pool swimming activity or a customized one?

@Pat-Fennell can you reproduce it? Is distance a field in your custom sport mode? I just tried with a custom pool swim and watch recorded distance just fine…
If you can reproduce maybe you can send logs from SA right after the activity.

Went out for the first swim in a pool. Beta Android app didn’t show distance. I used the swim interval S+ app which actually showed (double the actual) distance swum under the laps/interval section.

That double distance was passed on to Strava also. My stroke was generally consistent each length but I’m not a great swimmer so I can understand why it would double it.
