Faulty Recording
-
@HurricaneWeasel
Oups, I didn’t think about manual edit
Sorry, no idea what may happened. -
@Mff73
@HurricaneWeasel
I hazard a guess: my watch (S9B) did a similar thing once (last summer, never since). it crashed half way and recorded some, but not all data.
could be a one time issue and like in my case never happen again.
but you said it happened half a year ago already, it’s not so often that it could be tracked and analyzed seriously, but annoying anyway. -
@freeheeler Seems, I got a Monday Model. I have this watch for 9 Month. I had to factory reset it twice because it would crash while saving workouts. The recording of only a few meters of a workout happened twice this year.
The watch is awesome (battery time is superb), but reliability needs improvement. -
@HurricaneWeasel did you have to stop the activity, or found the watch already on the watch face?
-
Another idea: have you checked you are using the latest firmware? Recently there has been a bug fix version.
-
@Egika
I think latest for the peak is 2.23.20, isn’t it?
2.23.24 is for baro only (?) -
@HurricaneWeasel this shoes that gps was not on
-
@Egika Firmware is up to date.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos GPS and heart rate was green, when i started. Screen turned of a few seconds after start, as expected. There was nothing unusual.
-
@HurricaneWeasel screen turned off a few seconds after start? Are you using some special battery mode?
-
@isazi Yes. I don’t need the screen while running. I know the way.
-
@HurricaneWeasel
The question was ,did you use any specific battery power management.Please test it again with performance battery mode.
-
@zhang965 That would not be helpful. I ran today with the same settings and it worked fine. That error occurred 2 times in 187 runs. Even if the error does not occur with changed power settings, the power settings still would not be as I need them to be.
-
@HurricaneWeasel yes, but knowing exactly which setting you were using can help troubleshoot and fix the issue
-
@HurricaneWeasel This happened me not too long ago. Were you using an app (i.e. structured workout)? And if YES, did you have auto-pause selected?
If YES to both, would suggest disabling autopause.
-
@HurricaneWeasel A second possible issue is something is wrong with your custom sport mode, I would try deleting and set up another. Perhaps use a default mode and see it the GPS failure happens as well,
-
@taziden
GPS accuracy = best
Display timeout = 10 sec.
