power saving

@gi0vanni
I remember barely that I once saw this behavior on my watch with a HR chest strap, too.
but it’s a long time ago, happened only once and hence I consider it a rare bug.
if it keeps happening, please report -

Did it happen more than once?
If I turn on power saving, this problem occurs systematically (cursor stuck in Z1) when I use the chest belt

@gi0vanni
I will try tonight and see if I can replicate it -
@gi0vanni that’s a bug well spotted, hopefully sb can forward it to the devs. You could also contact support to file a bug complaint, they’ll also forward it to devs.
-
@DMytro for sure! I will do more tests to be sure…

@gi0vanni
I have tried twice but was not able to replicate this issue. (once with chest strap and once with verity sense)
I understood you are using power saving mode, start an activity and your HR values go up and down while the dial remains in Z1 and does not move at all.
just to be sure: this is not the case when power saving is disabled? and your HR zones are either default or manually but correctly set? -

w/ ps disabled it’s ok
and your HR zones are either default or manually but correctly set?
manually and set correctly (verified twice).

I see some disadvantages with power saving, as I was struggling to connect my watch after running… I am not used to power saving and it is not my routine to toggle it off again. the battery life is so amazing that I honestly never used it.
I will ask. please PM me when it happens again. -

It is just better to disable the features not needed and indeed increases it -
@freeheeler PS was not used on purpose just forgotten there after tinkering with the watch. Tomorrow I have planned a run and I will let you know. Thanks!

ii) HR reported via chest belt was ok during session but the HR zone in the watch face did not work i.e. cursor locked in Z1, why?
I have probably sorted out the (non) problem. I apologize in advance for the noise, especially @freeheeler for wasting your time with testing. That said, I have been manually changed my HR zones and have recently been in recovery mode due to some heart problems, so I try to stay in Z1 as much as possible. My current Z1 upper limit is 123bpm and I have noticed that the dial starts moving around 111bpm or so (yesterday I stayed around 109-110 and probably the other days as well). The fact that I could see the HR values at the chest and the dial did not move made me think it was not working…
