      Dear all,

      when using a Suunto Guide training from TrainingPeaks, the additional data field screen is very good. All necessary information is there. When an interval ends, a short description of the next intervals pops up. It would be nice if I could see the number of interval like “Round 3 of 6” or something like this. Just a proposal from my side…

        @trailcafe I think you can name your rounds yourself so that your text is displayed?

        t6, S6, Elementum Terra, Ambit 3 Sapphire, Spartan Ultra Copper, Traverse Alpha, S7 Graphite LE, S9B Ambassador, S9P Granite Blue Titanium, S9PP Titanium Sand, Vertical All Black, Race Titanium Charcoal,

          @trailcafe Are you talking about structured intervals, aren’t you?

          I think the only one that gives this info is intervals.icu, so is related how is programmed. I have asked for this to add it to the built-in editor in SA.

            @cosme-costa yes it’s just a text description, it’s not a computed value

              @cosme-costa @Egika
              I am talking about synced trainings from TrainingPeaks.
              Example:

              1. Warmup
              2. Repeat 6x (3min hard/3min low)
              3. Cool Down

              Garmin separates these blocks. When you are in Block 2, it says “Repetition x/6” so you know when suffering ends. Yes, I can count to 6 in this case, but in intervals like 3x (10x (30s/15sek)) I cannot count anymore and it would be nice to see how many repetitions are left. As said, Garmin is doing that out of a synced TP training.

                @trailcafe TP could do it for Suunto also by adding a counter in the description/name of the step. They do not, though.

                  @isazi maybe yes, maybe no. Information seems to be in the workout plan because Suunto watch knows when the repetitions end. The description field is filled out by the creator of the plan. Sure I can do 30 repetitions-steps manually and name them 1, 2, 3, … but this is not how you should use that editor.
                  BTW Stryd app on the Apple Watch also shows the repetition counter.

                  The description is just
                  “Einlaufen”
                  “Sehr hart”
                  “Trabpause”
                  “Auslaufen”

                    @trailcafe TP could add this information changing the text description (not having you do that), like intervals.icu does already. The guides API allows that, I’m not sure it allows counters baked in the intervals themselves yet.

                      @isazi @trailcafe I have tried TP, intervals.icu and SA as structured workouts creator. Among these three, the only one that has this counter is intervals.icu but is also the less intuitive to program.
                      SA is the easiest to program and I really hope Suunto adds this counter.

                        @cosme-costa thanks for testing. Interesting, that even SA does not offer this counter.
                        I have a trainingsplan in TP until end of June '23 so I will not switch to any other platform^^

                          @trailcafe I understand but you can try intervals.icu, it is free.

                            I’ve made the request to TP support and they said the feedback will be passed, also their support advised to post the idea in customer feedback/ new ideas forum.

                            Which I have done today, it’s a vote system there too, so if anyone can upvote the post, that would be great, so that we get that little interval counter 🙂

                            Title of the idea is: Interval counter on Suunto’s structured workouts and link below, (it should be under new ideas)

                                Requesting those of you that haven’t voted to give it a try? You just have to create an account there and you can give up 3 votes (from 50 you’re given on sign up).

                                We’re gaining momentum with votes, the more help vote, sooner we’ll hear back from Trainingpeaks about implementing this. Thx in advance.
