Sports Tracker android app
-
Howdy, hopefully this is the right forum for my question.
Basically I have been user of Sports Tracker since 2010 (I think was even using it on the Symbian OS back then) + Polar WearLink+ chest strap.
Now here comes the curve ball, does the CASIO GBD-H1000 work with Sports Tracker as a real time heart rate monitor. That is, can a GBD-H1000 connect via bluetooth to the Sports Tracker android app? Failing that can it connect va bluetooth Suunto android app?
Searching on the forum it appears @pilleus is a fan of the GBD-H1000 and I think for my particular use case scenario this would be an ideal match.

@Krzys-Au
Unfortunately (for you ) this is the Suunto community forum, not exactly a SportTracker forum. Most of us use Suunto App, and even if they look similar, ST is not the same.
But who knows, maybe someone can help.Regarding connecting Casio watch to Suunto App, it isn’t possible as the app pairs only with Suunto smart sensor, afaik

@sartoric Thanks for the reply. Its a little confusing as Sports Tracker is owned by Anta Sports, which also owns Suunto. Also there is some overlap according to this:
The community in the Suunto App is made up of the Suunto community and the Sports Tracker community. Suunto and Sports Tracker are collaborating to bring you Suunto app.
https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/faq-articles/suunto-app/what-is-sports-tracker-and-why-do-i-see-it-in-suunto-app2/Anyways fingers crossed for me someone out there has tested (and it worked) what I want to achieve

@Krzys-Au while not knowing the exact model of the HR sensor, chances are high that it works well. Most BT HR sensors follow a generic profile and can be used.

@Egika This does give me quite a bit of hope Now if someone can confirm 100% that would be great. Unfortunately the GBD-H1000 is not in any of the physical stores near me, otherwise I would go and test this hypothesis myself.

Suunto is not under Anta or Amer anymore, Suunto was sold some time ago to Liesheng. I guess they are still preferred partners.

@Krzys-Au The GBD-H1000 does not broadcast the heart rate via Bluetooth to any other app. Only G-Shock Move is able to receive it.
The GSW-H1000 can do it via the Wearos app “Heart for Bluetooth”.
I hope this will help you.
