Still different values in Spartan Sport watch and in the Suunto app
My gear
Suunto Spartan Sport HR
iPhone 7 plus latest iOS -
For me this looks more like watch thing not the app, you are using wrist hr monitoring? So it is highly inaccurate in sport like tennis because of the wrist movement, please use for this type of activity chest strap which is way accurate
-
@Sla I’m using not wirst HR monitoring…I’m using smart sensor
-
And, clearly stated in the notes to the app so why post? If you are unhappy about it fine post that but the notes clearly stated that some values in watch and app won’t match. Given everything else that has been added (heatmaps, routing, sport field customization) the problem with values not matching must be a deep one and difficult to solve or it would have been done by now. The altitude inaccuracies are apparently a very difficult fix.
-
@akoshajas then please provide screenshots from watch itself as at the moment we see only app screenshots and we do not have what to compare with…

@SlaSh here we go…

@akoshajas hmm quite interesting, maybe it is related to the tennis profile in the suunto app, as for my activities hr on the watch and in app are equal…
Could you provide more screenshots from the watch with all values for the same activity? -
I’ve never found differences higher that 1, maybe 2 bmp, that I guess are due to some rounding done by the App.
Of course, I never use tennis profile -
@sartoric I’m monitoring as a Running (New Sport Mode) and after I change to Tennis (bc I need the steps too and in Tennis mode doesn’t work)

@akoshajas could you do workout as tennis and sync to suunto app for testing? Might be that running activity is having different profile than tennis and after you changing it to tennis things are messed up.
-
I have another suggestion although this does not necessarily address the readings you are getting. 1. Do you have custom HR profiles set in the watch? There are profiles for general, running and biking. These need to be set, at least the general with your max HR.
There may be an issue with the sport profile so we should check this out. Let us know how you have your HR profiles set. -
@SlaSh I didn’t change now to Tennis…it’s the same issue…
