Ambit 3 connect problem with SuuntoApp iOS
-
Connection of my Ambit 3 Sport and Peak watches with the SuuntoApp on iOS worked previously without any problem.
After “Service Menue” -> “Action” -> “Power Off” and pausing some time I rewakened the watches by connecting with USB cable. SuuntoLink opens on the computer and synchronizes ok. However, connection with SuuntoApp fails.
SuuntoApp “Connect device” -> “Device found” with SN -> “Connect” is grayed out.
Ambit 3 “Connect” -> “MobilApp” - “MobilApp Search” -> failed.
It seems to me that there is no Bluetooth from the watches. Bluetooth on the iPhone is on.
Please advice what I can do. -
@Horst check sync settings on the watch (Connectivity -> Settins -> MobileApp sync) and make sure is set to Auto, otherwise bluetooth is turned off as soon as it is not in use. Also check for bluetooh devices in iOS setting and forget the watch if it is still present there. Then try to pair your watch from Suunto app.
Good luck. -
@Horst
you can also try “forget app” (?) in connected devices on the watch side.
I recall this was an issue I saw when I switched watches. Some find the connection automatically, some need to forget first.
not sure if this is still the case, but maybe worth to mention here. -
@freeheeler yep, I forgot the “forget” from Suunto app if watch is still present in the list, by pressing the cogwheel then “Manage connection”.
