      Folks

Anyone noticed a body battery increase after a plain restart of the S7?!

Mine had 16% and straight after the restart it was 44%. Abnormal!

      Can this be rectified?

@BinoWorld-UK Yes, happens for me regularly. I restarted at 0% and now I’m at 38%.

I need to wear mine to see. I don’t recall this happening. However, a restart will clear memory and default to 50% until a new reading. Best not to restart.

@Brad_Olwin If I remember correctly, it was that it defaults to 70% if you don’t wear it for few hours, and not charging it.

S9B goes to 50% always (not wearing, charging) and S7 is similar (or equal) if I remember from last winter

@BinoWorld-UK that’s what all my Suuntos (S5s S9s and can’t remember S7) did after restarting or recharging them - they default to 50% . If you wear if for some hours it nearly comes down to the level you had before. I would prefer, that it starts at the same level again it had when you restarted/ recharged it. Don’t know if Suunto can fix it, since the resources metrics comes from Firstbeat (afaik).

@freeheeler S7 doesn’t change resources when charging, at least for me. Tested - I charge it every day. That wouldn’t make any sense if it did - resources would be completely unusable.

@Metalmi that’s correct, it doesn’t change if on the charger for less than an hour I believe.

@Metalmi Not at all, I don’t wear my S7 all day and it predicts the drop based on my past history. I did this vs my Garmin Fenix 6 worn and I found the S7 to lose the same amount my Fenix did whilst sat at my desk.

It’s been a year, I just purchased a 9Peak Pro and experienced the same issue, after a simple restart Resources defaults back to 50% from 16. Latest software so clearly hasn’t been fixed. Makes Resources useless in my opinion.
