Suunto 7 - no longer updated?

@zoran-z yah strange no suuntoplus features at all on the watch

@jantikainen said in Suunto 7 - no longer updated?:
Between the 2020 and now I’ve been trying Polar Grit X and Samsung watch4 but still keep returning to the S7 as for me it is the perfect combination of Sport and Smart (in this particular order).
The screen is still awesome and the free offline maps are just great.Yeah, still nothing that really compares in the Wear OS space. Shame it didn’t sell better (at least here in Norway, although I’ve seen advertisements, I’ve not seen anyone else wearing one).

@jantikainen The map implementation on the S7 and routes is second to none IMHO. I dislike Garmin map implementation and have a lot of recent experience with that. I still often use the S7 as my weekly watch as my workouts are short (and I have an iPhone). I hope that the map implementation on the S7 finds its way to Suunto flagship watches.

@brad_olwin Yes, I fully agree ! Suunto 9 (Peak or Baro) with maps would be great.
-
@tonyg42 Maybe Suunto is working on a Suunto 10 with mapping features?
-
@skifun for sure, I think next flagship is going to be completely new. Maybe even with different user interface.
-
@dmytro Sounds great. Hopefully they launch it this year.
-
@skifun
would be cool, even if I am very happy with my watch, I am curious about new models -
@skifun doubt that. Suunto released S9 two years after Spartan ultra and s9p three years after S9. So in 1-2 years maybe?

I would like to have Suunto Plus Guides, Suunto Plus functions… external sensors, auto pause, set the zones of pace, hr, power…
I love the s7 but there is space for new features and features request for the watch.
