Crash/reboot on outdoor watchface S9P v2.20.30
-
@markytarky OK I donβt know where are the known issues logs in order to report relevant only.
New crash this morning but with another the watchface: the one with the days of the week column. This time I was reading the 12h barometer curve. I swiped the screen to go back to the watchface. The screen flickered -> black -> reboot then the barmoter history and ressources are lost. I sent the logs.I have the 9 peak since last wednesay, for now I experienced 4 crashes, it is a lot.

@wyvern the problem occurs when you scroll down to the widgets in general, not just to a specific one. Mine crashed several times also in HR widget, then in baro 12h curve, then in steps. So itβs a problem of scrolling down. I reported all the scenarios plus yours. For time being pls donβt scroll down All other watch functions seems to work ok.
-
@markytarky Thank for your input.
As the 9P is my new device then Iβm trying all, hence the issues. Of course I hope this will be addressed but the crucial core is that the watch is issue free while exercising.My Spartran Ultra exhibits issues during or just after activities (no GPS fix despite assisted GPS up to date), fail to register at the end and loss of activity, GPS loss till the end of exerciseβ¦). It is the opposite with the 9P.

If itβs only related to the outdoor watchface, it seems to me that selecting another watchface is a quick workaround. This way people can keep using the watch widgets.
-
@surfboomerang nope itβs related to all watch faces. At least my crash happened with the other.
-
@markytarky Ok, I guess Iβm the lucky one then.
I use the big βHour / Minutesβ watchface and didnβt experience any crashes after the latest firmware update.
-
@surfboomerang I just tried it with the different watch face (the one with hand clock, recovery, steps, date, and one variable field), and seems no issue, I scrolled a couple of times down to various widgets. So pls @Wyvern try as well and let me know, thanks.
-
@surfboomerang I use the original outdoor watchface and never have a crash.
-
@isazi So it could be a combination of settings then?
-
@markytarky Hello, I tried the analog wtachface you mentioned, the outdoor original watchface (the one that was already on spartans), then the new outdoor watchface (with baro and sun/rise/set) without issue for 7/8 days.
30 min ago I switched back to the watchface with the column of dots/active days of the week, then swiped to the 12h barometer graph then swiped left again and it leaded to crash again. As usual the 12h alti/baro history is lost.
I have sent the logs to suuntoI tried to redo the exact same thing but no crash.
-
@wyvern thank you for trying. Yes, the activity dotted watch face made my watch crash. Reported to Suunto.

@markytarky
S9P only, right?
Iβve switched to this screen on my S9B to test it there, too. but until now, itβs stable -
@freeheeler I tried it on my S9P but I wasnβt able to reproduce itβ¦
-
@freeheeler yes S9P only seems to have this issue.
