Trends - Steps and calories missing (iOS and Android)

I know this issue has been previously reported that both steps and calories history aren’t stored. It seems the answer is to reinstall the Suunto app.
I can confirm that I have the issue both with Android and iOS devices, including fresh installs on new devices.
It does sound strange to me that the fix is to uninstall/reinstall until it works.
I have data history back to August 2021, then nothing for those 2 fields. So both iOS and Android devices that pull the data from the cloud report the exact same behaviour.
Do I need to uninstall/reinstall on all devices?
Only on the one the phone is currently paired to?
Will the historical data be made available once I’ve done enough uninstall/reinstall?TIA
