Unpair Ambit 2S

I’ve got an older Ambit 2S that I was playing around with and tried to pair it to a newer HR belt I have. The watch said it paired but nothing showed up when I tried to test it. So I figured it just wasn’t compatible. However when I went to use it today the battery was dead (I had just charged it the other day). The only thing I can think of is that I paired it to something else that it was connected to constantly and drained the battery. It wasn’t my phone I checked.
Is there any way, without doing a complete reset to unpair it with whatever I paired it with? If not I guess I can just make sure I charge it right before each run. I’m getting ready order the 5 Peak soon anyway, so a couple of weeks won’t matter.
