[Further issue] Lost data after factory reset
-
Re: [Issue] FW rolled back to 2.18.18 and won't find the new FW anymore
Here’s another issue report after my previous one.
I wear my 9peak all the time except taking a shower, and I’m sure before this painful update drama, all data was synced to the Suunto App.
And during my multiple times of resetting the watch, uninstalling the Suunto App, I found the Calories data, Steps and Sleep tracking records between 12/28 - 1/27 are gone. (See my screenshot attached below)
This is weird, as the watch synced data everyday and I’m 300% sure that there was records during this period.

@hankwang this happened to me a few months ago, I also lost from the diary view about 600 activities! iOS version.
when I look at the total number of activities on charts page mine is significantly different (1197) from the person page (681) where you access app settings, the daily Steps / Calories and Sleep has months of data missing.
a couple of months ago I requested my data under GDPR and received the correct total of 1196 activities - so they do exist somewhere but the app cannot see them or access them for some reason. -
@tonyg Nice try I have to say.
One step further, what about importing those files you got via app like “RunGap”? Maybe this will fill those empty slots I guess… -
@hankwang I never considered that!!
would it cause duplications??? I don’t know!
I’m now existing between two eco systems (Coros (legacy - Suunto)) Mainly Coros. and I do have all those activities in Strava so not too much hassle, the only aspect on the Suunto App I use and find good is the route creation on a mobile device, but its not my primary route creation platform, I prefer to create a route on GBOS website on the computer. -
@tonyg I don’t think that will ever cause duplicates because the app will compare before creating/importing a new record, per their description.
And thanks for sharing your logic of choosing platforms, I might give them a try later on. For now, I simply like the simpleness and minimalism design of Suunto App comparing with Garmin Connect… (I haven’t tried much other platforms actually…)

Try to uninstall and reinstall the app. After that, slowly, the app should sync everything back from the cloud.

@isazi I tried. The issue remains
-
@hankwang can you try to contact support also? They may help you more. I’ll also try to report your issue, but I may need some logs from you at some point.
-
@isazi Sure, I’ll try
-
@hankwang could you try android ?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I’ll search my storage room tomorrow and hopefully my Nexus 6p could power on lol
