Swimming pool
-
@leafs93 hi there; I’m new Suunto Race user. I have exactly same problem. watch says 0 mt. but apps says 2000mt. Traingpeaks sync says 2000mt. strava sync says 1999mt. today I updated to 2.30.38 version. I hope it fixed.
-
Of course, there are swimmers, but I rarely visit this forum because there is little interest in swimming problems.
Yes, I have the same problem, after finishing the activity I have “0” on the watch and after synchronization I have the full distance in the application.
Although I haven’t checked yet after the last update. Today I will test.
I swam with SA3P, S9BT and now with SV. It doesn’t add or reduce the length for me. Unless I stop in the swim lane or make unnecessary moves.
Generally, you can swim in a pool with Suunto watches, but you will not do advanced training.

@artusdiver glad to know I am not the only person facing this issue or it means mine is a hardware problem. Anyways I have raised this to support and they are aware and will hopefully get this fixed. I have not swam yet since the latest firmware update but I doubt this is in the fix . If any of you have with this same issue swam recently, please let me know. Thanks
-
@ahmetaktan yup, same as mine. Strava when sync will always not show a whole number but with a distance ending with 9.
-
@ahmetaktan I think it is just an issue of displaying distance in the summary instead of swimming distance, will report it.
-
-
@isazi thank you for your help
-
Vertical is also affected by the 0 distance bug in the summary screen during pool swim.
-
@herlas it’s funny that when I asked support if there are reported cases like this and they would just reply that they are not aware.
-
status update :)))) After updated to 2.30.38 os version, I tried to reset to factory settings but nothing changed :)))
-
@ahmetaktan this hasnt been fixed yet? Its amazing that a 500 euro watch has this problem. It just amazes me.
-
@Biterdi not fixed yet. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, it’s very weird.

@ahmetaktan I had the same issue with my Verical today after reading it here! Very strange. Watch counted laps correctly to 1200m but on finishing said 0m and Strava 1999m !!
I also get strange lap times, some very fast when they are not. I don’t know why. -
I used my SR for pool swimming and it was spot on in showing the swimming distance during and at the end of the workout.
The only issue, already present with my ex SV, is that the watch does not detect breaststroke and reads it as freestyle. On the other hand is good at detecting backstroke swimming. -
@Dante-Mclalla may I ask if you do sync with strava and if so is the distance correctly displayed in strava ?
-
@Dante-Mclalla no connection with strava just straight via suunto sport profile
-
@ahmetaktan Hi there, same issue here with Suunto Race ( handt any issue yet, but today for some reason it shows 0 distance** even though when i sync it with my phone app the distance is there correctly… ) Just letting you know there is some kind o bug. I would appreciate if you inform us if anything change in the future ( i will also let you know ) l.
-
@George-Ft exactly the same situation. sure, I’ll update the status.

@ahmetaktan Hi there, a short update. For the past week i encounter the same issue/bug, but for some reason today it actually worked ( the meters are displayed correctly* instead of 0 ). The same thing also happend 1 time in the past week so it seems that it does work randomly… I am trying to figure out if it has to do with the reports of feeling in the end ( happy, average… etc ) but i am not able to find a consistent pattern of a factor triggers the bug…

@George-Ft its weird that when I use suuntoplus guides it works. My coach sends me swim exercises via Trainingpeaks app. When i sellect guides it works
