Sensors full of Bubbles, Plastic peels off.

@macpen Contact support. Your OHR will be affected. The watch should be repaired/replaced.
-
@macpen yes a little bit with my vertical 🫣 havent sent it to suunto iam on vacation. But when i came home in 2 weeks then i sent it to repair
-
@GiPFELKiND Just a wild guess. Can certain suncream cause this issue?
A while ago we had a bottle at home which caused a similar reaction on the plastic frame of my sunglasses. -
@surfboomerang could be… But a military tested watch will break because of little bit sun Lotion?! Dont believe that. Its definitely a repair case!!! When i am back from croatia in Germany.
-
Military grade durability unmade by sun cream.
-
I have the same problem, and when I asked about it on Suunto’s online Chat, they told me it was normal ??? should I send mine back as well ?!
-
@Elipsus absolutely not normal, cannot understand why anyone would tell you that. Unless you did something wrong to your watch, this is a production defect and you should tell support
-
@isazi I did nothing wrong with it, I don’t think i even exposed it to sunscreen lol, I will contact support, thanks for the informations
-
@Elipsus I am confident you didn’t do anything wrong with it, just saying
-
Personally I do not like sensor design. The pins are noticeable on skin. Little uncomfortable on S9P. The charging should be separate and the sensor material does not feel premium. I do like the new Garmin design way more with a flat glass plate (not using Garmin), Suunto favorite watch. hope we see something else someday…

Short update, sent my watch to suunto on 12/07/23. DHL Express shipment was pretty fast. Repair would take about 20 Working days, but nothing happend since then… on 27/07/23 I´ve got a mail from suunto because of the delay of the repair:
“Due to a high volume of repairs, we are unable to repair your product at the time agreed…” but no details about how long de delay will be.
Not really happy with it, but yeah…

Suunto proud to be an européen company, and you should respect their summer holiday.

@zhang965 what are you talking about ? I’m proud to be French (and thus enjoy around 37 days off per year) and regularly take 3 weeks together during the summer (its even mandatory to take at least 2 weeks in the summer), but when I do, its planned, and If some project are going to take longer because of my holidays, i, at the very least, give an rough timeline to my clients/project manager…that’s the usual for most people I think, european or not
The problem here is the lack of date, and lack of warning, just sending “sorry we’re late” after 25 days is not a great communication, but at least they gave an update ^^
-
@Elipsus we usually say Finland is closed in august. Summer is short there, the schedule is tight to fit everyone’s holidays.
-
@halajos Finland is mostly closed in July, not August. Right now there are lots of sad people returning to their normal weekly routines. Even the public swimming pools are opening again after being closed for the July.
-
I have also this problem with my S9PP watch. Quality of watch seems to be little “questionable”
-
@Felttie if you have this problem contact support, they may replace your watch.
-
@macpen had a Suunto 5 peak in repair from my son. 4 weeks… 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
-
@GiPFELKiND 4 WEEKS?? dear lord…
