S9PP stuck in saving screen

@zhang965 How can you be sure that Vertical will not have these problems in the future?
Oh come, I never say that, actually all my suunto watches had such issue, Spartan, S9B, s9p and s9pp.
Everytime it’s getting slower I reset it and sell it and buy a new release watch.
For me, vertical should stay at least 1 year without problem.

Today S9PP stuck while syncronizing with the HR Belt, similar error to the one where it stuck while saving. The activity was lost, but the HR data is shown in the graph in todays summary. Had the same error with my SSS, and its just annoying, hopefully it will be fixed soon. Sadly I can’t afford a new Suunto watch every year like other lucky ones here.
-
@jthomi Was it a Suunto hr belt or another company? I was wondering if this could be due to some incompatibility with third-party devices
-
@aroo7 Sunnto HR Belt
-
@aroo7 I had both S9B and now apparently S9PP getting stuck on saving activity and/or synchronizing HR. Luckily for me, without losing activity data. You can add Garmin HRM-Pro and Polar H10 to that list. As well as WHOOP in BLE broadcast mode.
I don’t think the issue isn’t HRM specific.

thanks, just asked
I personally use HR accessories from Polar -
If a factory reset my watch, will I still have to set up training zones and custom sort modes again? Or are they now stored in the app as well and will re-sync?
My run this morning saved ok, though I wore my S9B on my other wrist in case it didn’t and it was obvious how much slower my S9PP now is.
Although I lost my run yesterday, the HR data has registered in the daily summary, even though it was from an external HRM (Polar Verity Sense). I guess the watch must pull the data “live” and store separately from the activity file. -

The reason that I said the save stuck issue is a cancer, is once it happened, you will worry about it forever

@Francesco-Pagano The Suunto belt should not be a problem.
-
@aroo7 Made a typo (or maybe autocorrect) decided for me. Polar straps haven’t treated me well, personally. Too many replacements both for pods and even straps themselves.

@MKPotts
it’s done relatively quickly if you note or screenshot your settings. one rainy evening on the sofa with a boring film and all ia setup again… on the other hand, when I read posts that a new FW is around the corner, I would recommend to wait for that and observe the behavior then -
But what does around the corner mean? It may be May, or June, so up to six weeks from now.
-
@jthomi
as usually: we don’t know
it’s a pain for the affected, but it’s also good not to rush into something -
I think I’ve been punished for writing posts in this thread. “Saving…” is rolling on my S9PP 🤭
Luckily,VectorVertical arrived faster -
@aroo7
…who is Vector? -
@freeheeler My phone sometimes strenuously tries to draw attention to itself

Same issue with my S9PP. After several moth and tens of activities, it fail saving exercies two times in a week. It’s not happen all the times but…
I’d do hard reset today and i hope its solve the problem for the next months. Maybe, the issue could be related with memory full, because, as i see in some post its happen after several months and intense use.
I hope Suunto solve it soon. I do not to plan busca another so expensive watch in the sort term

Had many (cheap) phones/bike computers/watches in the past 11 years and never lost a workout recording. If it would happen with my S9PP it would be the first ever… reading also about the random crashes/reboots of the SV, it doesn’t boost my confidence in Suunto. After telling time, recording is the primary function of a sport watch, right?
