Suunto 7 Titanium version coming 4/21
-
@steff interesting. This one seems to be more round. Doesn’t have those flat bumps at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.
-
@johann-fuehrer … but tere was a speculation of nother watch wit another OWxxx number while this one still has OW185 But maybe this is just the rendering.
-
@johann-fuehrer but what about this one:
-
@aleksander-h besides the missing bumps, the size and screen to body ratio are most probably the same. It is very unlikely that they changed the watch case.
The best news is that sleep tracking and HR update seams imminent.
-
@steff I’m thinking the ratio probably looks different simply because the bumps are gone.
-
Looks good! I really look forward to sleep tracking. Now I wear my Spartan Sport to sleep and sync it with the Suunto app in the morning. Then I forget the Spartan in the Suunto app and instead connect my Suunto 7 in the Suunto app. I wear the Suunto 7 during the day and activities and when bedtime comes I forget the Suunto 7 in the Suunto app and instead connect the Spartan Sport to the Suunto app before I go to sleep. And then repeat and repeat and repeat. It’s a hassle
-
Mine is already OW185
-
There is one very real advantage to releasing a cosmetic update. It should cause new reviews to be written meaning the reviews will now take into account all the improvements made through software updates since the S7 was first released.

OW185 is the Suunto 7.
-
I hope this doesn’t mean we have to wait until 21 april before we get the update.
-
@aleksander-h well, even if it is another month to the new firmware, this one seems like a very good software update.
As an example, if resources are coming to the S7, this means that Suunto has developed this in-house, or most probably licensed it from Firstbeat. Plus I think we will not know all the goodies in this update before it is formally announced. -
@isazi definitely. With sleep tracking I think the S7 will be a much easier sell.
-
Yes mine S7 is ow185
-
Bigger battery?
-
@bulkan I would think that would justify a new model number
-
Very interesting! Even though I don’t have S7 at the moment I’ve been following the progress and if sleep tracking + other goodies are coming, as it seems so, this might be the trigger to get the S7 again.
-
It would seem Amazon are now hiding the item.
-
@aleksander-h direct link is still working https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y3P1JM6/
-
Any chance to wear 4100+ chip?
-
@kiriakos-chaldezos I doubt it. Has the same FCC number and model number as the current S7. Looking like a purely cosmetic upgrade.
