The installation file for movescout2 may contain malware
-
@zhang965 only if i would visit the asian continent.
-
@mario_b Don’t worry. I just returned the Traverse and will opt for a serious supplier. Suunto seems to be past its prime. Nice looking hardware but crappy software (created by amateurs?) and customer support (Trustpilot 1 out of 5). Unless everyone on this forum are paid Suunto trolls, why bother to do their job for them. This is just another Nokia going down the drain…

But will he inform “relevant authorities” about the incident?! This is a question!
-
All of this was bizarre. And we are official Suunto paid trolls apparently
P.S. I do have a Nokia phone!

Where is the person who started this post?
the problem was, that the Suunto Certificate is dated out. that may be to the point to many systems for blocking the download or install. not the cloudfront.net domain.
-
@mario_b he/she left and deleted his/her account because we’re trolls.
-
@isazi ah ok.

@mario_b
it’s good that you double checked and confirmed there’s no malware, so we can keep this thread open for others entertainment about really impatient people -
@TELE-HO i tryed checked and monitored the install process and then the running app. like allways, nothing is 100% safe, but i feel safe using it.

This is hysterical. Sorry I made it so late here.
So Suunto, the original adventure watch company, is building malware into their Windows software. Good Lord. Riiiight. Gotcha.
I’ll tell you what malware IS. Corporate level AV and intrusion software on end user machines. That crap will slow your machine to a crawl. But on a serious note, those intrusion systems constantly identify stuff thru it’s heuristic scanning logic that are false positives. So basically nothing to see here. Contact your IT folks and simply tell them the report is BUNK. If they don’t get it, or refuse to acknowledge that the software is legit, well too bad…don’t put your personal software on your company computer. Problem solved.
Talk about stupid…I’m speechless.

Considering that the “Former User” deleted himself from the forum, I guess there’s no reason to keep replying to him
