Beta testers wanted: Milestone, a training platform that connects to Suunto only
-
Hi all,
some of you already know me from the forum, so I’ll keep this simple.
Over the last year I’ve been working on Milestone, a web platform we use at SportAcademy for endurance training.
I’m now at the point where I really need some help testing it with real Suunto users outside our team.
Milestone currently connects directly to Suunto: it imports workouts and daily data, calculates training load and fitness/fatigue/form, and can send structured workouts back to the watch.
There are also tools for race planning, GPX analysis, pacing, nutrition, weekly reports and training availability, but right now I’m much more interested in finding bugs and strange behaviours than promoting features.
If you use a Suunto watch and feel like testing it, I’d really appreciate feedback on:
- Suunto connection and synchronization
- workout import
- daily/wellness data
- structured workouts sent to the watch
- missing or incorrect data
- anything confusing, broken or simply annoying
The beta is completely free.
milestone.sportacademy.zone
Signup code: SUUNTO
You can import up to one year of Suunto history.
Don’t worry about being polite with the feedback. If something doesn’t work, tell me exactly what happened. That’s precisely what I need at this stage.
Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try.

Sounds nice! Cannot register, the main page is flickering and doesn’t react. Android / Chrome Browser
-
@VoiGAS I can not register too. The web page doesnt work properly. Still reloading. Firefox, safari.
-
Of course, the one deploy I didn’t monitor sent the homepage into a loop…
Fixed now. Thanks for reporting it! -
Although the website has been German for me, the signup email I received has been Italian only…
-
The logs are telling me that the automatic reports aren’t always being generated in the user’s language.
If anyone can confirm this, I’ll deploy the fix straight away… especially since this is supposed to be one of the premium features
-
Ok, there seems to be a manual linking necessary - “SUUNTO” is the trainercode, right?
-
Hi @manuel-extreme I have signed up but it says my account is not yet linked to my athlete card. Do I need to do something to continue? Thanks!
-
@OutdoorMan i have signup too. Same message
-
@OutdoorMan Hi! For the moment, account approval is manual. You’ll receive an email as soon as your account is approved.
I don’t want to enable automatic approval just yet, mainly to avoid new users getting caught in the middle of one of the frequent bugfix deployments during the beta.
For the Suunto integration, I’m still using the “Developer API” subscription for now. Thanks so much for the time you’re all putting into testing this. I really appreciate it.

What’s the user’s address used for?
-
Error when trying to connect Suunto:
{“code”:504,“data”:null,“message”:“504 GATEWAY_TIMEOUT "Response took longer than timeout: PT12S"”}
-
Looks good so far - but the german translation is unusable. I don’t understand the meaning of the fields. Can I manually switch to english?
Edit: Found the setting - it was hidden outside the smartphone screen in the menu bar

What’s the user’s address used for?
The platform can analyse medical documents such as X-rays, orthopaedic reports, blood test results, etc.
Before anything is sent to the AI model, the system anonymises the documents by removing personal data such as name, surname, date of birth and address. It first uses the information available in the user’s profile to identify and remove those details, with regex-based detection as a fallback.
That’s one of the reasons the address is collected.
The medical reports feature isn’t enabled for public users yet, though. -

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll need to use a properly localized AI model for the German translation … .sorry about that.
The website isn’t fully optimized for mobile yet either. I’m working on the app, but that will still take a bit more time. -
It’s funny how many bugs suddenly appear when you think, “everything looks fine,” and push it to production

-
{“code”:504,“data”:null,“message”:“504 GATEWAY_TIMEOUT “Response took longer than timeout: PT12S””}
That’s a Suunto gateway timeout. I’m still using the Developer API, so it may be related to that.
In your Profile you’ll find the option to retry the Suunto connection.
-
@Manuel-Extreme I thought that’s why you want beta testers

-
In the “workouts” section, you’ll find a “+” on the calendar.
I’d like you to try “Workout” and then click “Describe it in words”.
The platform will create a structured workout from your description, which you can then send to your Suunto as a “Guide”.
-
@VoiGAS I’ve switched to a model specifically trained on European languages for the translations. Hopefully they’re a lot better now
