Has anyone found a way to stop or reduce them?

Stay away from magnetic items. That’s about all you can do at the moment. There is a slim chance that Suunto may address the underlying software issue (disabling the vibration notification when the compass auto-calibrates) if they decide it’s a “clear watch bug” as indicated above by @Egika. Keep your fingers crossed.

@duffman19 as someone who works with motors all the time, this is kinda difficult to stay away from magnets.

I am happy with my 9pp.
However: I turned off automatic updates since 2.37.48 I did a rollback because heart rate issues.

Question. How much do I miss with not having latest update?
If I install latest update, am I able to roll back to 2.37.48 if I don’t like it??

          Thanks for your help.

I am also happy with my 9PP, but charging it every two days begins to annoy me. So looking for two options, send it so Service for a battery replacement, or buy a newer model…
Anyone knows how long Service times are nowadays?

@jthomi My battery swap took a bit longer than a week (in Europe) and was well documented to follow. Did not change much to charging times 😞

I bought my S9PP shortly after its launch and here’s how it went with my last half marathon:

                Screenshot_20260721-001727.png

Estimated 40 hours - based on the real battery usage during 3 hour long workout. Route loaded + one S+ (Constantin) + H10.

                Good as new.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel That’s good to hear that the in-activity battery life has kept up over the years. How is the day-to-day battery on your watch? Mine took a bit of a dive after the last update it received. I lose 8-10% daily, excluding activities, with HR off.

It’s interesting that Suunto still lists the 9PP’s battery life as 30 days (time mode) and 21 days (w/ tracking and HR). This was only ever possible at the time of release when the wrist HR activated once every 10 minutes. Even with constant HR, I feel like there was a period where I could get two weeks out of the watch. With the current (and final?) software, I’m down to 5-7 days with HR off.

@duffman19 I don’t know, because the difference between 7 and 8 days of battery life isn’t really noticeable, at least not for me. If it went down compared to when it was new, it’s definitely nothing drastic.

                      @Peter-Pan-0 hey
Before updating, you need to write the exact name of your firmware. When you got it, you can try the latest one and rollback if needed.
                      Check forum https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6836/firmware-collection/110

The most stable for me was the 2.48.16, unfortunately, I never found the exact name so impossible to rollback 😟. It was the best about bug and battery.

Latest is quiet ok but definitely not a bug free. Especially, there is some famtom vibration sometimes
