@Freezer When the 90th anniversary edition is supposed to ship? Some people seem to already have it.
-
@sky-runner dunno about shipping. I got it at a local Suunto dealer. Available today.

Like 2 weeks ago i was able to add Vertical 2 Limited 90th anniversary to basket and pay for it in Poland smartwatch shop. I havent seen any info its gonna be send after 10th march. Not sure if I would buy it I wouldnt already got it on my hand :D. It looks cool but as Race 2 owner I dont need it. Its cool for collectors. I’ll sell my watch when Race 3 will be released and if cool enough for switch.

Instagram is full of influencers opening their gifts from Suunto. I am wondering how many are actually available for sale : )
-
@sky-runner I know that North American shipments were significantly delayed due to global events. Support told me they would arrive in port (I assume US) late this week. So shipping likely next week.
-
@OutdoorMan I was a little sad to see so many influencers with them. Seemed very coros-like.

@Stavrogin blame the game not the player
while we as people get influenced easily by folks on internet, that will continue. -
@Stavrogin I should be very unhappy with that since I was an OG Suunto … something (that was before talk of influencers). But frankly: Suunto needs to drum up their brand awareness.
I still think that they’re doing that in a way that isn’t actually the best for them, trying to compete the same way as everyone else and therefore playing the same game as everyone else - but even to that, I have to contradict myself because Suunto has tried a lot of innovative things, and more often got in trouble with it than gained success.
Hell, I remember times when people had nothing better to do than complain about the Ambit’s GPS “nose”. Yes, it was not always loved.

@zhangschmidt I do remember those days. There were the dark hours as well with the WearOS days.

Years later, but yes. A Suunto rep reminded me that the rollout would have had plans for in-person events for the Suunto 7, which all couldn’t go ahead due to COVID. That plus the misunderstandings between what Suunto and what smartwatches stood for, and things didn’t go anywhere…
Anyways. Let’s see if I can get back to also talking watches - and anti-influencing.
