My Plan Beta

@aiv4r 🥳
-
I love it! I haven’t tried it out yet but planning to use it. I have a running coach I used to work with and will run it by him when I get a chance. Really happy to see this ! Nice job Suunto!
-
@Francesco-Pagano Suunto Run is not working with these AI plans at this moment, as those are implemented via Suunto Guides, but it’s mentioned plans will come to Suunto Run, not sure how or when
-
@herlas interesting, thanks! I just assumed that the launch of Run together with these plans now go in the same direction, trying to attract more amateur runners. Let’s see how it will be done
-
@herlas Just out of curiosity, I signed up for a plan and now it’s generating it (*). I don’t get what you mean when you say it’s not supported yet for the Run
(*) successfully generated for the expected period
-
@Hari-Seldon the plan generation is independant of the watch it is an app function, so of course it will work. The delivery to watch happens over S+ Guides, so one will not get instructions during the run on what should be done. But if that is not needed everything should work.
-
@aiv4r got it, thanks!
Update: it seems it’s not possible (yet?) to delete old plans (e.g. cancelled ones) and sometimes when browsing them the app (Android) crashes
-
For me, the biggest benefit is that the watch now gives an audible alert if I am outside the set zone. This was not possible before My Plan was launched. I have a Suunto Race.
-
@smutnak it’s independent change, should work for any S+ guide interval now
-
@pavel.samokha Ah, thanks for the clarification. I thought it was part of My Plan. Good job, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time
-
I tried a workout from a plan today, not sure what happened. The workout is stuck on “Uploading activities“ for an hour now. On the watch there is a TSS measurement, the app didn’t register anything. Any idea what to do? Or is there an issue on the server side? There is more data missing, i.e intensity zones is also not updated.
-
I have also started a new plan. A couple interesting notes. I started my plan yesterday (Monday) and it did not schedule me any activities for that day. Because of this I just worked out as normal. (45 min Endurance Ride) When it was completed and uploaded the app it did not change anything for the following days workout. Today it was raining heavily so I did not go for the recommended 40 min z2 run, but rather did a 45 min Zwift ride in z2 with about the same TSS. It shows complete for the day, but still no adjustments.
The one interesting thing I was wondering about is if HRV and sleep will effect the plan and it appears that it does not. So in that way it is not like a Garmin DSW, but maybe the magic starts next week after I have put in the weeks worth of workouts.
-
Small update: Activities are still uploading, TSS from yesterday disappeared from watch as well. Not sure what is happening.
-
@timecode
Independently from the plan, in case an activity is “blocked” in app, you can first delete activity in the app, then Logout/Login in the app, it should clean and redownload again that watch activity and hopefully correctly. If not, then uninstall reinstall the app.
After that said, it might be a bug if this new SA version, but worth trying other checks before. -
Do anyone know if the plan adjust after the creation?
It’s clear that AI is used to generate a plan worth a goal “my first marathon” using a questionary and our workout history data. But do the plan adjust if I improve my running pace/hr/power? What happens if I have a terrible night and my recovery is not enough to do a hard session?
I can imagine that this is not yet implemented, but I worked like to understand deeply how do theses plan evolve, and hour to compare them with AI Endurance, HumanGo, TrainAsOne…. Probably this could require a subscription
Thank you Suunto for the improvements

Too bad no cycling plans yet. I would like to have multisport plan, like running and cycling, so I have multiple options on same day. I train without a plan and I decide on daily basis if I go for a run or ride, depends on weather and so on. But basics are the same, weekends long runs/rides, some tempos, hills, vo2max,…
-
@Likarnik They do let you include 2 other sports in the plan and propose for example, easy swimming/cycling as part of the run plan.
-
@chee-ee-jordan-lo yes, but generated plan includes cycling once a week for recovery, easy spins and so on. I don’t know what happens if I go for a ride instead of planned run. For example in last two weeks I went for a run only once because of the heat, so I ride. Maybe some duathlon plan? Or maybe it adapts to more cycling?
-
@Likarnik Ya i get it. Who knows where this will go. I keep my expectations low for now.
Also once i smell a paywall im out. LOL
-
@aiv4r The length must be adjustable depending on race day. In my case, there are only eight weeks until the marathon, but the training plan is fixed to ten weeks.
The time spent running should be filled in automatically based on the average running time from the last few weeks.
